March to Mardi Gras Parade & Live Music

Help get the party rolling with the 8th annual March to Mardi Gras, La Porte’s official beginning of Mardi Gras led by the Second Line Band, filled with festively decorated umbrellas and costumes that create a spectacle down Main Street. The Umbrella Parade is open to everyone—with a decorated umbrella, of course—and teams can register for free. Register now.

There will be live music by headliners Step Rideau & the Zydeco Outlaws, hailing from right here in Houston.

Mardi Gras Market & Kids Zone Fun

Elsewhere at the Mardi Gras on Main grounds, partygoers can explore the Mardi Gras market, packed with local vendors, handmade arts and crafts, specialty foods, and more.

And finally, the Kids Zone at Five Points Plaza will feature carnival rides, a mega alligator slide, face painting, Mardi Gras mask-making, and more.
