  • Comedian Mo Amer at Houston Improv | Thursday & Friday – Fresh off the brand new release of his Netflix series, Mo, the Houston comic spends three nights at the Improv, offering his takes on growing up as an Arab American and living in H-Town. Remaining tickets start at $50 for 2, and up. Times vary.
  • Smashtoberfest 2022 at New Magnolia Brewing | Friday & Saturday – One of the largest Super Smash Bros. tournaments in North America lands at the Heights brewery for two days of competition with local vendors and ice cold brews. $10 to compete; free for non-contestants. Times vary.

  • Trivia Tuesday at True Anomaly Brewing | No Cover – Show your trivia prowess and win Astros tickets or beer at the weekly trivia contest, with trivia categories announced on the EaDo brewery’s Instagram account on the of the game. 7pm.
  • Lady Gaga in Concert at Minute Maid Park – Mother Monster comes to Houston in support of her cyberpunk and house music–infused smash 2020 release, Chromatica. $56 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Alicia Keys in Concert at Smart Financial Centre – American activist, singer, actor and songwriter, Alicia Keys is in town to share music from her two most recent albums, Alicia and Keys in her first live tour in almost ten years. $39 and up. 8pm.

  • Brew at the Houston Zoo – This 21-and-up night at the Zoo returns, offering beer tastings from eight popular Texas breweries—with over 30 beers to choose from, including gluten-free options—plus live music, arcade games, evening animal viewings and more. $45 includes admission, an 8-ounce commemorative souvenir cup and six 4-ounce beer samplings from any of the breweries; $35 for event access only. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Dia de la Independencia at East End Backyard | No Cover – EaDo’s massive 16,000 square foot patio welcomes a Dies y Sies celebration, complete with a live DJ, loteria games, drink specials, an open jam session, and more. 6pm to 2am.
  • Silverstein & the Amity Affliction in Concert at Warehouse Live – The early 2000s emo group comes to town in support of their latest release, Misery Made Me, joined by metalcore group the Amity Affliction. $29.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Houston We Have a Problem: Mexican Independence Day at Rise Rooftop – Party for Dies y Seis with live sets from Brick Wolfpack, Peso Peso, Young Ea$y, and more above Midtown at Rise. $30. 7pm.
  • Burlesque Birthday Bash at Social Beer Garden HTX | FREE – Celebrating its first anniversary, the Social Beer Garden burlesque show welcomes performers from around the area for an 11pm show, preceded by an all-female vendors market and female DJs. 7pm.
  • Battle of the Breweries Dodgeball Tournament at Pitch 25 | No Cover – Watch from teams Saint Arnold’s, Karbach, New Magnolia, and more duke it out dodgeball-style on the indoor pitch, with open dodgeball play available after the tourney. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Oliver Penn in Concert at No Label Brewing Co. | No Cover – The Katy brewery welcomes Texas singer-songwriter Oliver Penn, who brings songs from his latest EP, Ollie Sings the Blues. 7pm to 10pm.
  • All Access Art Show at The Ballroom at Bayou Place – Turn back the clock to the era of disco and Studio 54 with plenty of local art, vendors, and dance performances, and more. $15 to $25. 7pm to midnight.
  • ’90s By Nature: Throwback Jam at ReBar – DJ Rocabye and a special guest will be on hand, spinning tunes from boy bands, girl groups, one-hit wonders and dance artists of the ’90s at the LGBTQ+ dance night organized by Lesbians of Color Entertainment. $10 in advance; $15 at the door. 9pm to 2am.
  • S!ck!ck DJ Set at Stereo Live Houston – The masked Canadian EDM artist and DJ brings it to West Houston for a Friday night set. $23. 10pm to 2am.
