7 Essential Places to Get Chicken Wings in Houston
Stuff’d Wings in Midtown

The popular Third Ward food truck from Jarrod and Prisoria Rector recently opened their first standalone restaurant on Richmond, just a block from the Ion building.
Head here for some seriously satisfying wings that are filled with mac ‘n’ cheese or boudin in chicken, pork, beef and seafood varieties, battered and deep fried for a nontraditional take on chicken wings. Go the extra mile with a side of Cajun fries smothered in melted cheese, sriracha, ranch and fresh boudin dressing, or swing by on the weekend for special breakfast offerings like stuffed hash browns, maple bacon wings and funnel cake.
Sunday to Thursday 11am to 8pm; Friday and Saturday 11am to 10pm; closed Monday.
Houston Sauce Pit in Third Ward

Before they brought Mo’ Better Brews to the Museum District, Courtney and Chasitie Lindsay started out by delivering Houston all-vegan Texas barbecue with a twist at the Third Ward food truck on Almeda.
There, you can swing by to order up plates of smoked cauliflower wangs with traditional BBQ sides like baked beans, potato salad, mac ‘n’ cheese, and more.
Be sure to check in on their social media before heading over, however, as menu items can change and they’re prone to sell out throughout the day.
Tuesday to Saturday noon to 8pm; Sunday noon to 6pm; closed Monday.
Dream Wings in Garden Oaks/Oak Forest

On Ella Boulevard near 34th Street, these wing slingers are known for their sauces that feature dry rub Jerk wings and wet varieties like Buffalo Lemon Pepper and Asian Twang, which combines a zingy dose of sriracha flavor that’s balanced out with honey, herbs and spices.
Even more, you can go full decadence with alfredo-sauced wings, or dig into pasta, saucy fries, fried fish and chicken tenders.
Wednesday 11am to 9pm; Thursday and Friday 11am to 10pm; Saturday and Sunday noon to 10pm; closed Monday and Tuesday.
Dak & Bop in Timbergrove

This Korean eatery on 18th Street serves up all sorts of goodies like Kimchi Fries, Spicy Dak Ramen, and Bulgogi French Dip, but the big draw is their perfectly fried-twice chicken wings that are lightly breaded, crunchy and generously sized.
The juicy wings comes sauced in non-traditional glazes like Soy Garlic and Sriracha Honey Lime, and can be paired well with options like fried rice for a belly-filling meal.
Sunday to Thursday 11am to 9pm; Friday and Saturday 11am to 10pm.
LA Crawfish at Multiple Locations

The Texas Viet-Cajun chain can be found all across Houston, but the Richmond Ave location remains a popular spot for locals, and not just for the renown spicy crawfish they sell year-round.
The chicken wings come in 10 flavors and offer non-traditional tastes like Jalapeno Onion, Taiwan Five Spice Basil, and Thai Tamarind alongside staple sauces like Lemon Pepper, Hot Buffalo, Spicy Garlic and a Cajun dry rub. More than that, you can get your fill on fried Cajun dishes like po-boys, oysters, crabs and lobster, as well as pho, noodles and more.
Monday to Thursday 11am to 9:30pm; Friday and Saturday 11am to 10pm; Sunday noon to 9:30pm.
Roostar Vietnamese Grill at Multiple Locations

With locations in East End, Uptown and Spring Branch, this casual Vietnamese grill is known for their banh mis, but their crispy wings are a fan favorite.
The flavor-bursting chicken wings come in three straight-forward sauces, or you can mix them all with the Wholeshebang Seasoning for a unique Viet take on fried chicken wings.
Open 10am to 10pm daily; Sunday 10am to 9pm.
Niko Niko’s at Multiple Locations

On top of gyros, souvlaki and kabobs, it’s easy to miss Niko Niko’s plate offering of jumbo chicken wings doused in the Greek restaurant’s signature spicy honey sauce, but it’s a worthy addition to the city’s wing radar.
Dip it in Niko Niko’s house-made blue cheese and order up a side of feta fries to make it a complete meal.
Sunday to Thursday 10am to 9pm; Friday and Saturday 10am to 10pm.
