  • Father’s Day Steak & Eggs at Monkey’s Tail – Treat Dad to Steak and Eggs at the Mexican American kitchen and dive, Monkey’s Tail, this Father’s Day. Patrons can enjoy a 14-ounce ribeye served with hollandaise, eggs and spicy chili potatoes, alongside drinks from beer buckets, beer pitchers and a variety of cocktails. $20 and up. 11am to 3pm. 
  • Drive Your Dreams Houston Car Show at NRG Arena – This one-day event brings together celebrity cars, exotics, old-school muscle, and more automobiles for a Father’s Day car show all afternoon. The family-friendly event will also feature amusement rides, carnival games, monster trucks and more. $40 and up. Noon to 5pm.
  • Juneteenth: Celebration of Freedom in Historic Fifth Ward | No Cover – Celebrate Juneteenth with a bike ride around Houston’s historic Fifth Ward, plus get a chance to enjoy live music, food and local artisan vendors. $17.55 for the bike ride. Noon to 8pm.
  • BLCK Market’s 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration at East River | FREE – Celebrate Juneteenth and shop for last-minute Father’s Day gifts from 100 Black small businesses and entrepreneurs when BLCK Market hosts their 3rd Annual Juneteenth Celebration, along with live music and food trucks. 1pm to 5pm.
  • Man Cave Market at Railway Heights | No Cover – For the first time, the Washington Ave marketplace north of I-10 hosts a Man Cave Market, featuring unique trinkets, gadgets and gifts for dad, along with live music and food. 4pm to 9pm.
  • Nothing More and Asking Alexandria in Concert at House of Blues – The San Antonio-based rock band brings the heat to Houston in support of their latest album, The Stories We Tell Ourselves. $39.50 and up. 5:45pm. 
  • Del Castillo in Concert at Dosey Doe: the Big Barn – Known for their blends of rock, Latin, blues, and world music, rock out with award-winning Latin rock band Del Castillo when they visit Spring. $68 and up. 7pm.
  • Léon in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – The downstairs stage at White Oak welcomes Swedish pop singer Léon when she comes to town with songs from her latest release, Circles. $23 in advance; $25 day of show. 7pm. 
  • Houston Symphony presents The Music of Whitney Houston at Hobby Center – Rashidra Scott’s powerful vocals join the mix as the Houston Symphony performs some of the biggest hits of pop diva Whitney Houston’s storied career, including “Saving All My Love,” “How Will I Know?” and “I Will Always Love You.” $34 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Comedian Bobcat Goldthwait at the Secret Group – For decades, the gruff-voiced comedian has made audiences laugh with roles in movies like Police Academy, as a director for Chapelle’s Show and Community, and in his stand-up specials. He’ll come to EaDo for one Sunday evening set. Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 day of show. 8pm.
  • Juneteenth: The Journey To Freedom at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – More than a dozen performers come together to tell the story of African Americans from 1865 to today and their journey to the celebration of freedom through dramatic visuals, live music, narration and dance. Free tickets can be reserved for covered seating; hill seating is open to the public. 8:30pm.
