  • Wildflowers & Wild Women at Kickerillo-Mischer Preserve | Tuesday, March 8 | FREE – Celebrate International Women’s Day in Northwest Houston with a morning discussing the “wild women” of nature. Learn about the women who have made a difference in our parks, wildlife, and sciences. Ages 10 and up. 10am to 11:30am.
  • Venardos Circus at Dry Creek Social Club | Wednesday, March 9 to Sunday, March 13 | Final Shows – Step right up and see the amazing acts of the Venardos Circus in Richmond, as former Ringling Bros. Ringmaster Kevin Venardos and his cast take the stage to bring audiences a show that is part-Broadway musical, part-circus. $25; $15 for ages 12 and under. Times vary.
  • Spring Break at Lago Mar in Texas City | Starts Friday, March 11 – Splash into spring break at the refreshing open-air waterfront escape in Lago Mar. Walk white sand beaches, float in crystal clear water, and hit the inflatables as your family soaks up the sun. Tickets vary, but start at $20 for ages 13 and up; $15 for ages under 13; free for ages 2 and under. 11am to 7pm.
  • Children’s Storytime at CityPlace | Friday, March 11 | FREE – Toy Story characters Woody and Jessie will be on hand to tell children all about how to be a good friend with a reading at CityPlace. 5:30pm.
  • Spring Break at George Ranch Historical Park | Starts Saturday, March 12 – Giddy up for a darn tootin’ good time during spring break at the Fort Bend historical park. Learn about Texas history with costumed interpreters, take historic home tours, get involved in hands-on activities, see historical demonstrations, and more. Some days will also feature special programming. $15; $10 for ages 4 to 12; free for ages 3 and under. 9am to 5pm.
  • Rock the Block Street Festival at Children’s Museum Houston | Saturday, March 12 – Bring the kids to the Rock the Block Street Festival for a slate of activities like a live DJ, inflatable games, live performances, a dunk tank, and colorful Art Car parade cars. Included with general admission; $15 for ages 1 and up. 10am to 3pm.
  • Spring Break Destination Celebration at Fort Bend Discovery Center | Saturday, March 12 – Bring the kiddos to enjoy non-stop adventures every day for Spring Break at Fort Bend Discovery Center. Have a blast with giant building blocks, decorate and wear your own mohawk crown, create your own ’80s-style shades and more, all week long. Included with general admission; $15 for ages 1 and up. 10am to 6pm.
  • St. Patrick’s Day Parade at Market Square Park in Downtown | Saturday, March 12 | FREE – Celebrate the luck of the Irish at the 62nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, now with a new route through Historic Market Square, where you can continue the fun with food, games and live music. Noon to 3pm.
  • Islamic Arts Family Experience at MFAH | Sunday, March 13 – Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and the Islamic Arts Society team up to showcase modern and traditional Islamic arts. The interactive event invites families to make their own art, watch artists’ demonstrations, and explore the Art of the Islamic Worlds galleries. Included with general admission; $19 for ages 19 and up; $16 for ages 65 and up; $12 for ages 13 to 18; free for ages 12 and under. 1pm to 4pm.
