  • Houston Rockets vs. Utah Jazz at Toyota Center | Wednesday, March 2 – A surging Utah squad visits Houston, led by Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. The first lucky 3,000 fans through the gates will also bring home a Kevin Porter Jr. bobblehead. $8 and up. 7pm.
  • College Basketball: Houston Cougars vs. Temple Owls at Fertitta Center | Thursday, March 3 – The Coogs host Temple in its final home game of the season, days before embarking on an AAC championship and the looming March Madness. $30 and up. 6pm.
  • 2022 College Classic at Minute Maid Park | Friday, March 4 to Sunday, March 6 – The annual college baseball tournament returns to Minute Maid, with 6 teams playing games across the weekend. Featured university teams include Baylor, LSU, Texas, Oklahoma, UCLA and Tennessee. $20 and up; $45 for a 3-day pass. 11am to 9pm daily.
  • 50th Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta at Allen’s Landing | Saturday, March 5 | FREE – The annual canoe and kayak race celebrates a big anniversary, sending paddlers down the winding Buffalo Bayou, crossing the finish line at Allen’s Landing in Downtown. Participation requires registration and is $60 per person, but viewing is free and you can celebrate an exciting finish in Downtown. Race begins at 9am; Downtown ceremony at 1:30pm.
  • Walk to End HIV at Sam Houston Park | Sunday, March 6 | FREE – AIDS Foundation Houston resumes their annual Walk to End HIV with in-person and virtual options—which also include other ways to participate while fundraising. For the in-person event, you can take to the streets and enjoy a post-walk happy hour in Downtown. 1pm.
  • Houston Rockets vs. Memphis Grizzlies at Toyota Center | Sunday, March 6 – The high-flying Ja Morant leads the Memphis Grizzlies to town for a youthful matchup on International Women’s Day. $12 and up. 6pm.
