  • Free Tuesday at Houston Zoo | Tuesday, February 1 | FREE – Grab your tickets and enjoy a free day with the littles as you explore the wildness of the Houston Zoo. See the lions and tigers and bears up close while also enjoying the other animals that call the zoo home. While entry is free, the carousel, giraffe feeding, and other attractions are available at regular price. Tickets must be reserved in advance. 9am to 5pm.
  • WILD Wednesday: What Lurks Beneath our Feet at Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary | Wednesday, February 2 The little nature lovers in your life will get an up close look at animals that live life underground at this Houston Audubon adventure, where they’ll learn about the natural world by being outdoors and through instruction, crafts and educational games. Registration is required. $10 per child, ages 3 to 6. 9:30am to 11:30am.
  • Disney Princess: The Concert at Smart Financial Centre | Friday, February 4 Sing along to the enchanting soundtrack of Disney princesses from the iconic animated films, as sung by Tony- and Grammy-nominated artists. Be part of that whole new world by dressing in your best royal attire for the evening. $39.50 and up. 7:30pm.
  • Sugar Land Rotary 5K: Running With A Heart at Sugar Land Town Square | Saturday, February 5 Join the Sugar Land Rotary for their 3rd Annual 5K Race benefiting Fort Bend Rainbow Room. $35 for adults; $25 for kids. 7:30am.
  • Houston Symphony presents Lets Be Pirates! at Jones Hall | Saturday, February 5 – Have a morning of pirate-themed fun when the Houston Symphony performs selections from Pirates of the Caribbean at Jones Hall, along with kid-friendly activities like the instrument petting zoo. Conductor Nicholas Hersh leads the orchestra in two family-friendly matinees perfect for ages 3 and up. $24. 10am and 11:30am.
  • Story Time with Raya at Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center | Saturday, February 5 From Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon, the brave protagonist swings by for an inspiring morning with story time and selfies. $12 for ages 1 and up. Readings at 11am and noon.
  • Brick Fest Live at NRG Center | Saturday, February 5 & Sunday, February 6 – The master builders in your home will live their brick building dreams at this annual event that showcases LEGO exhibits, interactive stage shows, activities, photo ops, life-sized models and more. $24.99 and up. 9am to 5pm.
  • Lunar New Year Celebrations Around Houston | Saturday, February 5 & Sunday, February 6 | Most FREE – Celebrate the Year of the Tiger across multiple weekends of events taking place across Houston. Times and locations vary.
