- Houston Rockets vs. Philadelphia 76ers at Toyota Center | Monday, January 10 – Moved up in the schedule from its original date later this month, the Rockets will see Joel Embiid and the Sixers take to the hardcourt in Downtown. $15 to more than $1,000, but you may find some better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
- We Are Houston 5K at McKinney & Crawford Streets in Downtown | Saturday, January 15 – While the Chevron Marathon is booked up for the 2022 season, a special 5K course can help runners get that finish line feel on the morning before the big event. Registration is $45. 8am.
- 50th Annual Chevron Houston Marathon in Downtown | Sunday, January 16 – Though you might not be able to lace up for Houston’s signature run event, you can still celebrate the runners as they pound pavement from Downtown through the city’s districts like Montrose, Medical Center, the Galleria, Memorial Park, and back again to finish at Avenida de las Americas. Check out the marathon course and find your spot to cheer on thousands of participants. 7am.
