- Red & White Salsa & Bachata X-Mas Party at Ivr Bar & Bistro | Christmas Eve, December 24 – Latin Dance Factory hosts a special class on Christmas Eve that’ll help you learn the steps and turns of salsa and bachata, then let you show off your moves in a social hour on the rooftop of the West Houston bar and bistro. $15 for the class and social; $10 for social only. 8:30pm.
- Christmas Day at Southern Star Brewery | Christmas, December 25 | No Cover – While closed on Christmas Eve, the Conroe brewery opens its taproom to all those who want to cheers to one another during the holiday. 1pm to 10pm.
- DJ Sun’s James Brown Christmas at the Flat | Christmas, December 25 | No Cover – Get down to the Godfather of Soul when DJ Sun spins an all-vinyl set of James Brown classics at the Montrose venue on Commonwealth. 8pm.
- The Last Christmas Party: A Tribute to George Michael at Etro Lounge | Christmas, December 25 | No Cover − Five years after George Michael’s untimely Christmas Day passing, DJ Rice Cube will pay tribute to the dance pop artist, playing music video hits from Wham! and his solo career. 10pm.
- Silent Night Silent Headphone Party at Grooves of Houston | Christmas, December 25 – The Third Ward lounge brings the Silent Night this Christmas at their Silent Headphone party. Choose between three different channels featuring Top 40, R&B, hip-hop, and reggae hits. $10. 10pm.
- Houston Texans vs. Los Angeles Chargers at NRG Stadium | Sunday, December 26 – The 2020 Rookie of the Year quarterback Justin Herbert is just one of several roster highlights on this promising Chargers squad that will look to finish the season strong against the Texans. Tickets range from $34 to over $250, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seat using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. Noon.
- Boxing Day at Rienzi | Sunday, December 26 – Visit the European decorative arts museum, the Rienzi, for the annual Boxing Day celebration. Enjoy some shopping, seasonal music, an art-making activity for all ages, and self-guided tours. $12 for adults; $8 for ages 13 to 18; free for ages 12 and younger. 1pm to 5pm.
- Holiday Homegrown Show at Houston Improv | Sunday, December 26 – West Houston’s premiere comedy venue hosts a holiday comedy show featuring Houston-based comics Bryson Brown, Barry Laminack, and Alan Adams. Tickets start at $20. 7pm.
- Mannheim Steamroller at Smart Financial Centre | Sunday, December 26 – Celebrating their 35th anniversary of music making, the new age prog rock group returns to their annual Christmas tour, bringing musically rich renditions of holiday classics and original songs, perfect for the day after Christmas. $45 to $85. 7:30pm.
