Things to Do All Weekend Long

  • 13th Annual Houston Cinema Arts Festival Around Houston | Daily | Virtual Options | Some FREE – Get to know the Third Coast (it’s the Gulf Coast, natch) through 40+ curated documentary and narrative films, short film blocks, Q&As, dance performances, DJ sets, and workshops. In-person events end on Wednesday, November 17, but select virtual screenings remain live through Sunday, November 21. Admission and showtimes vary.
  • Comedian Bill Bellamy at Houston Improv | Daily – Get your laughs on at one of five live comedy sets from comedian and the star of Netflix’s Self Made at the Improv. Tickets start at $70 for a table for two.  Times vary.
  • Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course | Daily – The PGA Tour returns to the Memorial Park Golf Course for the first time since 1963. Follow your favorite player or group through the course, or pick a spot to see each of the players play through a round of golf. Championship round takes place on Sunday with a trophy event to follow. $45 to $55 based on the day. Events begin at 7am daily.
  • Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market at NRG Center | Daily – Join 100,000 shoppers at do-over of the perennial holiday markets 40th anniversary, in advance of the Ballet’s return of The Nutcracker to the stage later this month. $18 in advance; $20 at the door. Times vary.
  • Wild Wild Brew Fest 2021 at Katy Mills Mall | Thursday through Saturday – Choose from more than 500 brews and take in live music, food truck bites, and more at the main event and on Saturday. Plus, you can get it gear with the K-Town Throw-Down on Thursday, and the Launch Party on Friday. $35 in advance for the Saturday event, which is 3pm to 9pm. Times and prices vary for other dates.
  • Veterans Week at National Museum of Funeral History | Thursday to Saturday – In honor of Veterans Appreciation Week, veterans and active military can score free admission to the National Museum of Funeral History all week long. Free for all veterans and active military servicemen and women; $10; $9 for seniors; $7 for ages 6 to 11; free for ages 5 and under. Times vary.
  • 68th Annual Gem, Mineral, Jewelry & Fossil Show at Humble Civic Center | Friday to Sunday – Uncover beautiful minerals, fossils, jewelry, gemstones, and more unique finds when the ever-popular show returns to a live, in-person event just in time for holiday shopping. $8 at the door; free ages 10 and under. Times vary.
  • Chantal Warehouse Sale in Northwest Houston | Friday to Sunday | No Cover – Stock up for your home or for holiday giving when Chantal—now celebrating its 50th year—opens up its warehouse doors for the popular annual shopping event. Expect high quality cookware and home goods up to 75% off. This week, Chantal’s founder and CEO, Heida Thurlow, will be greeting guests in-person on Saturday from 11am to 1pm. Times vary daily.
  • 47th Annual Texas Renaissance Festival in Todd Mission | Saturday & Sunday –  Join the barbarian invasion at the weekend themed around a great horde feasting, drinking, and plundering its way through the village. The weekend comes complete with a costume contest for the worst-dressed barbarian. Days conclude with a fireworks show. Prices vary. 9am to 8pm both days.
  • Fall Festival at Dewberry Farm in Brookshire Saturday & Sunday – Let your favorite kiddos loose on an 8-acre cornfield maze, pumpkin patch, Spooky Hollow, and more at the weekly fall festival attraction northwest of Katy. 11am to 6pm.
  • Cirque du Soleil‘s Allegría at Sam Houston Race Park | Saturday & Sunday – After two years, Cirque du Soleil returns to Houston in full force with a classic show reimagined for a new generation. Tickets start at $50, with VIP and other packages available, but cheaper or better seats are likely available on the online resale market. Times vary.
  • Love & Make DIY Workshops in Rice Village | Daily – Grab a friend, date, or just take yourself to one of Love & Make’s multiple DIY workshops, including the popular Home Fragrance Design and Candle-making hands on classes. Times and prices vary.
