  • 42nd Annual Festival Chicano at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE | Thursday, October 7 to Saturday, October 9 – Join Miller Outdoor Theatre for three nights of authentic Chicano music. The festival aims to reflect the artistic creativity that has developed in the Chicano cultural experience. Concerts through the three-day event include Little Joe y La Familia alongside Los Texmaniacs on Thursday; Ram Herrera with Grupo Aviso, plus Adalberto, J.R. Gomez and Demmi Garcia on Friday; David Lee Garza y Los Musicales performs with Shelly Lares on Saturday, which will also be livestreamed. 7pm.
  • Conroe Cajun Catfish Festival in Downtown Conroe | Friday, October 8 to Sunday, October 10 – Conroe’s annual festival celebrating all things Cajun is back for its 32nd year. Be sure not to miss the live performances across three stages, a carnival, the annual Catfish pageant, and food vendors offering festival and Cajun favorites. Single day admission is $15; weekend tickets are $30. Times vary.
  • Diva Royale: Drag Queen Show at Buddy’s | Friday, October 8 to Sunday, October 10 – Enjoy an overload of glitz and glam in Montrose with some of the finest female impersonators in the business. General admission tickets start at $30; VIP tickets begin at $55. Friday and Saturday 7pm; Sunday 1:30pm.
  • 37th Annual Galveston Greek Festival at the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church | Saturday, October 9 & Sunday, October 10 | No Cover – Head to Galveston for two full days of Greek culture celebration with authentic Greek food, Greek wines and beer, dance performances, a vendor market and tours of the Church. Saturday 11am to 7pm; Sunday noon to 5pm.

  • Ladies Night at Pour Behavior | No Cover – Grab your girlfriends and your dancing shoes for Ladies Night at this Midtown entertainment venue. DJ Icon will spin Top 40 and tech house hits while patrons enjoy an all-day happy hour. 4pm to midnight.
  • Lyons Ave. Night Market at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | No Cover – Shop with local farmers, gardeners, and entrepreneurs at Saint Arnold’s beer garden in Fifth Ward. Grab a cold beer from the bar while you peruse through the vendor market. 5pm to 9pm.
  • Bama Breeze in Concert at Market Street | FREE – Escape to the islands with a mix of tropical sounds from Bama Breeze at Market Street’s Fall Concert Series in the Woodlands. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Paint & Pour: Beyoncé Edition at Axelrad – Pay homage to the H-Town legend, Beyoncé, with a paint-by-numbers session in Midtown. Guests can also take part in music trivia, and enjoy great drinks and delicious food trucks. All proceeds benefit Homes For Our Troops. Tickets are $36 and include the paint-by-number kit and one drink from the bar. 7pm to 9pm.
  • Wavves in Concert at Satellite Bar – Catch a set from rock band Wavves at the outdoor music venue in the East End. The San Diego group’s fall tour supports their latest album, Hideaway, which dropped in July 2021. Tickets are $22. 8pm.
  • Erykah Badu in Concert at Smart Financial Centre – Known as a pioneer in the neo-soul movement, Erykah Badu makes her Smart Financial Centre debut. The “Window Seat” and “On & On” singer will perform her award-winning songs dating back to her debut in 1994. Tickets range from $44.50 to $134.50, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 8pm.
  • Mike and the Moonpies at Dosey Doe: the Big Barn – Mike and the Moonpies travel to the Woodlands for a live show. Originally starting out as a cover band in Austin, the group began releasing original music back in 2010 with their album, The Real Country. Tickets range from $18 to $24. 8:30pm.

  • Houston Reggae Fest at Peggy Park – Houston’s premier Reggae festival is back for another year of live performances dedicated to the Jamaican-based genre. There will be live music from artists like Collie Buddz, Gyptian, Jemere Morgan and many more. Guests can also enjoy food vendors on site. Tickets range from $25 to $175. Noon to 10pm.
  • Food Truck Rally 2 at B-52 Brewing | No Cover – If you’re in a need of a food truck fix, B-52’s food truck rally in Conroe is the place to be. After the first rally’s major success, the brewery is making the second installment bigger with more food trucks and more fun. 1pm to 8pm.
  • Oktoberfest at Eureka Heights Brew Co. | No Cover – Eureka Heights celebrates Oktoberfest their way with pretzels and brats from Kortex BBQ and performances from the Jodie Mikula Orchestra. 3pm to 7pm.
  • Montrose Live & Night Market at the corner of Montrose & Westheimer | No Cover – Discover new food vendors and artisans each Saturday night in the heart of Montrose. Local bands will perform live while guests shop, eat, and drink. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Bino Rideaux in Concert at Warehouse Live – Head to Downtown Houston for a Los Angeles rap takeover with Bino Rideaux’s On My Soul tour. The tour also showcases rappers Blue Bucks Clan and Coot Corleone as special guests to support the show. Tickets range from $25 to $125. 7pm.
  • ROCO presents Mixed Messages at Post – The brand new Post Houston, which takes over the old Barbara Jordan Post Office in Downtown, will be hosting a limited access event to celebrate performing arts in the future technology, food, and retail venue. There will be performances from Houston Contemporary Dance Company, Poet Laureate Outspoken Bean and the ROCO String Quartet. Tickets range from $45 to $100. 8pm.
  • Supper Club Concert Series at Trez Art and Wine Bar – Treat yourself to an elevated dining experience at Trez Art & Wine’s concert and dinner experience near Washington Ave. This week’s featured entertainment is R&B artist Kim Cruse. Tickets range from $20 to $175. 8pm to 10pm.
  • Latin Image in Concert at Rockefeller’s – Houston’s own Latin Image will reunite on Washington Ave. for one night in October. The Tejano band is commemorating their 30th Anniversary with a return to the Rockefeller’s stage. Tickets range from $13 to $20. 8pm.
