Check out the work of two friends, and very different artists, at Archway Gallery‘s May exhibition, Exploring Paint, from Saturday, May 1 through Thursday, June 3, 2021.

When friends Shirl Riccetti and donna e perkins first decided to have a show together, they never have anticipated such a tumultuous year as 2020.

Perkins, an abstract painter working in acrylics, and Riccetti, a more traditional painter working in pen and watercolor, confronted the challenges of 2020 by continuing to do what they have been doing for most of their lives, exploring paint.

The show juxtaposes their very different influences, from international travel to the abstract, and showcases the impact that environment and the physical world often makes on artists and their work.

The exhibition will be on display through Thursday, June 3, 2021.

Private viewings are also available by appointment for 10 people or less. Email [email protected] for details.

Virtual Opening & Artist Talk

There will be a Virtual Opening and Artist Talk on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 6pm, with appearances by both Riccetti and perkins. The opening will be posted to Archway Gallery’s website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel
