The spring season has brought a massive slate of returning sports and live action to Houston’s stadiums and ballparks.
This month brings new seasons for the Astros, Dynamo and Dash, as well ongoing games for the Houston SaberCats rugby team and the Rockets.

- Houston Rockets vs. New Orleans Pelicans at Toyota Center | Sunday, April 4 – Easter evening tips off with a homecourt showdown against nearby New Orleans, featuring Zion Williamson and Lonzo Ball. A special Easter Egg Hunt inside Toyota Center will take place at 6pm. Tickets range from $25 to over $425, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork marketplace. 7pm.
- Houston Astros vs. Oakland Athletics at Minute Maid Park | Thursday, April 8 to Saturday, April 10 – The Houston Astros kick off a three-game series with the Oakland Athletics, beginning with their Home Opener on Thursday, April 8. Fans that come through the gates during this series will also have a chance to snag a limited giveaway item, a 2019 AL Champions trophy. Tickets range from around $25 to more than $200, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork marketplace. Times vary.
- Houston Dash vs. Chicago Red Stars at BBVA Stadium | Friday, April 9 – The Dash host their opening match of the 2021 Challenge Cup tournament, facing former Dash forward Kealia Watt and the Chicago Red Stars, who they beat to win the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup in July. Tickets start at $10. 7:30pm.
- Houston SaberCats vs. San Diego Legion at Aveva Stadium | Saturday, April 10 – The SaberCats continue their fourth Major League Rugby season, hosting San Diego Legion at Aveva Stadium in South Houston. - Houston Astros vs. Detroit Tigers at Minute Maid Park | Monday, April 12 to Wednesday, April 14 – The ‘Stros step up to the plate for a three-game series with the Detroit Tigers. The first 10,000 fans through the gates at each game will have a chance to snag a Justin Verlander Cy Young bobblehead. - Houston Rockets vs. Denver Nuggets at Toyota Center | Friday, April 16 – The Rockets host a tough Denver Nuggets team that’s aiming for playoff positioning in the Western Conference, led by MVP candidate Nikola Jokic. - Houston Dynamo vs. San Jose Earthquakes at BBVA Stadium | Friday, April 16 – The Dynamo embark on another MLS season with high hopes and playoff expectations, opening their season against San Jose rivals. - Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels at Minute Maid Park | Thursday, April 22 to Sunday, April 25 – The Astros host the Los Angeles Angels for a four-game homestand in Downtown. - Houston Rockets vs. Milwaukee Bucks at Toyota Center | Thursday, April 29 – Back-to-back MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo leads the Milwaukee Bucks to Houston for a tough Rockets matchup. Tickets range from $23 to over $400, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork marketplace. 7pm.
