  • ReelAbilities Houston Film & Arts Festival 2021 | Daily | Virtual – Celebrate the achievements of people living with disabilities during a festival that showcases and leverages the unique contributions of those affected to help erase stigmas, change perceptions and more, at this free, virtual film festival. $10 for the virtual ReelPeople: UP Abilities event, $20 for the virtual ReelWorkplace event; all other film streaming and virtual livestream events are free.   • The Ensemble Theatre presents I, Too, Am America on Vimeo | Daily | Virtual – In the spirit of poet Langston Hughes, this jazz-infused program celebrates the contributions by Black people to the American culture through music, drama and choreography. $25.   • 10th Annual Galveston Restaurant Week | Daily – All month long, you can try top dishes at low price points from more than 40 of Galveston’s hottest eateries during Galveston Restaurant Week, ongoing through Sunday, February 28, 2021. Restaurants will feature two-course breakfast, brunch, and lunch options priced between $10 to $20; two- and three-course dinners are $20 to $35. Times and locations vary.
  • African American Library at the Gregory School’s Online Digital Archives | Daily | FREE | Virtual – Explore the extensive Black history of Houston and the surrounding region through photography, documents and oral history collections in the African American Library at the Gregory School’s online digital archives.
  • Main Street Theater presents The Book of Magdalene Online | Friday & Sunday | Virtual – Combining faith with tough love and magic, this contemporary story revolves around Magdalene as she tries to find something that helps her feel alive again following a catastrophic event. The show is pay-what-you-can from $20 to $54. 7:30pm both evenings.
  • Houston Symphony presents Schubert’s Death and the Maiden | Friday & Saturday | Virtual Option – Two-time Grammy Award-winning mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke joins with the Houston Symphony for two evenings of performances including Mahler’s Songs of a Wayfarer and Schubert’s dramatic Death and the Maiden. Tickets start at $34, with a virtual livestream option available for the Saturday performance. 8pm both evenings.
  • Live on the Lawn at Market Street | Friday to Sunday | FREE – Sprawl out on the lawn with a blanket or chair while enjoying a family-friendly outdoor concert from area bands in the heart of The Woodlands at Market Street. Times vary.
  • Regeneration at Archway Gallery| Friday to Sunday | FREE – Featuring new works in clay, paint, and glass by Carol Berger, Liz Conces Spencer, and Gene Hester, this joint exhibition explores nature’s regenerative force in the face of enormous risks. On display through Thursday, March 4, 2021. Times vary.
  • Comedian Bassem Youssef at Houston Improv | Friday to Sunday – Catch a hilarious set from comedian Bassem Youssef when he brings his brand of political satirism to the stage of Houston Improv for five socially distanced shows. $50 for two people; $100 for four people; $150 for two people. Preferred tables range from $100 to $300, based on the number of people. Showtimes vary.
  • Musiqa presents Inside/Out Online | Saturday & Sunday | Virtual – Produced in collaboration with Open Dance Project and filmed by local artist James Templeton, this moving digital performance showcases two short dance films, “Moving Pieces” and “Still We Tend”, set to music by Andrew Norman and Hawa Kassé Mady Diabaté. Pay-what-you-can, with suggested ticket price of $25. Available to stream during ticketed window from 10am to 10pm.

  • Seismique Interactive Art Museum | Daily Wander into a tech-fueled, interactive, intergalactic-inspired art exhibition with 40 exhibits from national and local artists. Starts at $35; $28 for ages 12 and under. Times vary.

  • Houston Coalition Against Hate presents Bystander Intervention Training | FREE | Virtual – Recognize how to spot identity-based bigotry and harassment when Houston Coalition Against Hate hosts an online Bystander Intervention Training. 10am to 11:30am.
  • Buffalo Soldiers National Museum presents Ready and Forward: Business Cents | FREE | Virtual – Learn the basics of starting a small business when Ready & Forward Resources hosts an online workshop that will provide entrepreneurs, interested upstarts, and current small business owners with valuable knowledge. 11am to noon.
  • Contemporary Arts Museum Houston reopening in Museum District | FREE – After remaining closed since March 2020, CAMH reopens its doors with the ongoing exhibition of Slowed and Throwed: Records of the City Through Mutated Lenses, which honors and examines the work of DJ Screw, and the opening of Wild Life, a joint exhibition which features works from Elizabeth Murray and Jessi Reaves. Noon to 6pm.
  • Kingwood Farmers Market at Town Center Park | No Cover – Shop for fresh homegrown fruits, vegetables, jams, baked goods and more at the Farmers Market in Kingwood Town Center Park. 3pm to 7pm.

  • Thursday Tlayuda & Mezcal at Xochi Step into Chef Hugo Ortega’s Oaxacan hotspot, Xochi, to enjoy a traditional Oaxacan dish of Tlayuda, which consists of a large, thin, crunchy, partially fried or toasted tortilla covered with a spread of refried beans and more, paired with Mezcal. 4pm to 9pm.
  • Ladies Night: Cheeseboard & Wine Bottle Pairing at Pour Behavior | No Cover – Pair a delicious cheeseboard with a bottle of wine when Pour Behavior in Midtown hosts an evening of tasty eats and live tunes from DJ Johnny Mac. $20. 4pm to 11:55pm.

  • Mayor’s History Makers Awards presented by Comcast: Dr. Antonio Dwayne Tillis | FREE | Virtual – Commemorate Black History Month during the virtual Mayor’s History Maker Awards which highlights community volunteers, including Dr. Antonio Dwayne Tillis, Interim President of the University of Houston-Downtown, who has embarked upon several faculty, staff, and student initiatives to support and sustain the dynamic surge in growth experienced by the university. 9am.
  • CAMH presents Virtual Art at Noon: Rabéa Ballin on YouTube Live | FREE | Virtual – Explore the work of artist Rabéa Ballin during a virtual discussion where Ballin will talk about the manipulation of materials in her artwork within the context of the exhibition Slowed and Throwed: Records of the City Through Mutated Lenses. Noon to 1pm.
  • Midtown Houston presents Virtual Text Breakers | FREE | Virtual – Take part in a virtual comedy game show where guests can enjoy trivia, drawing games, tune recognition and more when Midtown Houston hosts their Text Breakers event online. 5pm to 6pm.
  • Wakefield Night Market at Walking Stick Brewing Company | No Cover – Held on the first and third Friday of the month in the Garden Oaks/Oak Forest neighborhood, the evening market features thirty local vendors for visitors to shop art, food and small business goods. Grab a beer from Walking Stick or dinner from the neighboring Wakefield Crowbar to round out the evening. 5pm to 9pm.
  • Central Market presents Virtual Cooking Classes: Black History Month | Virtual – Celebrate Black History Month with a virtual cooking school class led by Chef Marcus Samuelsson of Red Rooster in Harlem, where you’ll learn how to make Samuelsson’s Sunday roast chicken with chickpeas and couscous. $10 for virtual class-only; $70 to $110 for the virtual class plus an ingredient kit, available for pick up. 6pm to 7pm.
  • Andrea Magee in Concert at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck | Virtual Option – Catch a live set from legendary singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Andrea Magee when she brings her blend of blues, country, and pop tunes to the stage at Mucky Duck in Upper Kirby. $120 for a table of four; $180 for a table for six.   • Shenandoah and Collin Raye in Concert at Arena Theatre Tap your toes to the country sounds of award-winning country music band Shenandoah, when they perform a live set alongside Collin Raye at Arena Theatre near Sharpstown. $35 but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
  • Disney’s Tangled Movie Screening at Memorial City | FREE – Catch an outdoor screening of Disney’s 2010 animated favorite Tangled, which tells the classic story of Rapunzel during a screening at the Square at Memorial City. 7pm to 9pm.
  • DaCamera presents Sullivan Fortner Virtual Concert | FREE | Virtual – Witness the honed craft of rising star jazz pianist, Sullivan Fortner, when he plays a virtual set filled with original compositions and standards from the American Songbook, presented by DaCamera and featuring a live talk with the artist following the event. This event is free, but registration is required. 7pm.
  • Houston Rockets vs. Dallas Mavericks at Toyota CenterWatch the Rockets take to home court against Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis and the Dallas Mavericks at Toyota Center in Downtown. $55 to over $300, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork marketplace. This game is also broadcast on ATT SportsNet-SW. 7pm.
