Act now to grab a virtual table for the 2021 edition of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s Black Heritage Committee virtual Western Gala, filled with entertainment, a catered dinner, and more happening online on Saturday, March 27, 2021.

Hosted by Erica Simon, weekend morning anchor at ABC-13, the big event is the committee’s biggest fundraiser of the year, collecting donations and money that helps fund the HSLR’s annual scholarships.

Appropriately themed “Blazin’ Trails” for committee’s first ever virtual gala, the showstopper event includes a program filled with entertainment, alongside a catered dinner for up to 10 people. Plus, it provides direct financial support to HLSR’s Black Heritage Committee.

Update 2/4/21: Even though the public rodeo events scheduled for May 2021 have been canceled due to COVID-19, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo will still be awarding scholarships to students this year. Funds raised by the Black Heritage Committee’s virtual Western Gala will go to support these efforts.

Black Heritage Committee’s Virtual Western Gala Benefits

Hosted by ABC-13’s Erica Simon, the virtual event kicks off with greetings from Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo officials, its chairman, members of the Black Heritage Committee, and the committee’s elected officials.

Guests and donors can opt for a catered dinner for up to 10 people, prepared by Nuksy’s Fine Catering. Dinners can be picked up, or can be delivered for a small fee.

All participants will also receive personal recognition during the virtual event, two surprise and not-to-be-missed presentations, and virtual access to the afterparty featuring a surprise guest.

Guests will also have access to the highly anticipated virtual silent auction, and be treated to a special added presentation honoring those “Blazing the Trails in Multicultural Engagement”.

All funds raised go directly to supporting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo’s Black Heritage Committee.
