  • Virtual BakerRipley Houston Turkey Trot Pick where and when you want to run for a good cause during the virtual edition of the 2020 BakerRipley Houston Turkey Trot, which supports nearly 600,000 men, women, children and seniors. $35 for the 5K and 10K; $20 for the virtual kids run.
  • Thanksgiving Day Feast at The Annie Café & Bar on Post Oak Dig into a Thanksgiving Day three-course prix-fixe menu, or a limited dinner menu at the Galleria-area café. The Thanksgiving menu will feature options like an endive salad, Heritage turkey breast, Gulf red snapper and crab meat, wood-grilled sweet potatoes and more. The prix-fixe menu is offered all day, though you must make reservations. $78 for adults and $25 for ages 11 and younger, excluding tax and gratuity. 10am to 9pm.
  • Thanksgiving Day Feast at B&B Butchers & Restaurant on Washington Ave. Take your pick from B&B’s full dinner menu or a special prix-fixe menu that includes an amuse bouche, three courses and family-style side dishes along with complimentary hot apple cider and pumpkin cookies. Every guest will also receive a take home gift that includes leftover turkey sandwiches, stuffing, cranberry sauce and a side of gravy. Reservations are required. $75 for adults and $35 for ages 11 and younger. 10am to 9pm.
  • Thanksgiving Day at Stats Sportsbar & Grill | No Cover – Get your NFL on in Cypress while spending your Thanksgiving watching three games, including the Texans vs. Detroit Lions, while enjoying drink specials and 79 cent wings. 11am to 11:55am.
  • Thanksgiving at Brennan’s of Houston in Midtown Try on Thanksgiving with a Texas-Creole twist at Brennan’s, which features a menu of holiday eats like seafood gumbo, Texas-Creole American turkey, shrimp and grits, southern baked apple crisp and more. Reservations required. $62 per person. 11am to 7pm.
  • Thanksgiving Day at Turner’s on Post Oak Get a Thanksgiving taste of a bygone era with an old-world, white-glove service and a festive menu featuring a Belgian endive and persimmon salad, or a chestnut soup with black truffles, and a second-course entrée paired with a selection of six unlimited traditional side dishes. Reservations required. $250 per person, excluding tax, gratuity and alcoholic beverages. 11am to 8pm.
  • Thanksgiving Dinner at Seasons 52 near Highland Village Dive into Thanksgiving dinner with all the traditional trimmings, including roasted turkey, Yukon mashed potatoes, housemade cranberry relish and more. Dinner packages are also available to-go. $29.95 for adults and $15 for children; to-go meal is $150 and serves four to six people. 11am to 9pm.
  • Thanksgiving Day Skating at The Ice at Discovery Green Head Downtown to skate off Thanksgiving dinner at Discovery Green’s 7,716 square-foot outdoor ice rink, which has returned for the 2020-21 season. With safety precautions and reduced skating capacity, visitors must now book reservations online in advance. $15 includes skate rental. 11am to 11pm.
  • Thanksgiving Turkey Dinner at Downtown Aquarium Enjoy an under-the-sea feast that includes roasted sliced turkey, cornbread stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and more at The Aquarium in Downtown. $25.99 for adults and $9.50 for ages 10 and younger. 11:30am to 8pm.
  • Thanksgiving Dinner at Steak 48 near Highland Village Celebrate Thanksgiving with a traditional dinner boasting turkey, a choice of whipped or sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and gravy. Reservations are required and to-go packages are available. $59 per person. Noon to 9pm.
  • Friendsgiving Potluck at Front Porch Pub | No Cover – Provide the sides and good vibes while Front Porch Pub brings the turkey for their annual Friendsgiving Potluck. There is no cover, but food and drinks are on you. 3pm.
  • Thanksgiving Dinner Party at Bobcat Teddy’s Ice House in The Heights | No Cover – The White Oak ice house is serving up a Thanksgiving dinner plate provided by Bagzz of Bugzz Crawfish and Shrimp, along with live music from Jay Bee Zay. No cover, but drinks are on you. 5pm to 10pm.
  • 2020 Uptown Houston Virtual Holiday Countdown | FREE – Uptown’s usual kickoff of the holiday season with a big fireworks show goes virtual, with a countdown to the lighting of 300 larger-than-life holiday trees along Post Oak Boulevard and a video celebration of memories from events past. 6pm.

Black Friday, November 27, 2020

  • Black Friday Brunch at Weights and Measures Keep the holiday spirit going into the weekend with a special Black Friday Brunch at Weights and Measures with mimosas and dishes like chilaquiles, Croque Madame, and fried chicken french toast. Prices vary by menu items. 8am to 3pm.
  • Fall Features at Pondicheri Hit the patio at the Upper Kirby restaurant to try one of the many delicious fall additions to their Indian street food-inspired menu, including a spiced Vindaloo Ribs special available for lunch and dinner while supplies last. $40 for two. 9am to 10pm.
  • Holiday Art + Plant Market at Honey Art Cafe | No Cover – Get your holiday shopping done just in time for the start of the Christmas season when Honey Art Cafe in Montrose teams up with some of their favorite Houston-based artists and plant lovers for a family-friendly vendor market near Upper Kirby. 10am to 8pm.
  • HTX Market at Walking Stick Brewing Company | No Cover – Keep cool at an in-person, evening market featuring plenty of local vendors and artisans at Walking Stick Brewing Company near Shady Acres. 5pm to 9pm.
  • Sips and Sounds at Hotel ZaZa Memorial City | No Cover – Sip on a selection of curated cocktails while enjoying live entertainment at the Tipping Point Restaurant and Terrace at Hotel ZaZa in Memorial City. Reservations required. 6pm to 10pm.
  • The Birthday Massacre: Julien-K, Scream at the Sky & Manifestiv at Warehouse Live Spend your evening dancing to industrial and electronic songs when Warehouse Live hosts The Birthday Massacre, featuring Julien-K, Scream at the Sky, and Manifestiv. $20 in advance; $23 day of the show; $119 VIP meet and greet; $200 VIP table for four. Doors open at 6:30pm.
  • PAACK in Concert at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck Hear rock tunes from talented Austin-based quintet PAACK, when the five musical women take the stage at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck in Upper Kirby for a socially distant performance that will also be broadcast online. $120 for a table of four; $180 for a table for six; free broadcast. 7pm.
  • Jurassic Park Movie Screening Moonstruck Drive-In Watch as life finds a way during a drive-in screening of the 1993 Steven Spielberg science-fiction dino classic, Jurassic Park, starring Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill at Moonstruck Drive-In. $30 per vehicle. 7pm.
  • Elf Movie Screening at The Drive-In at Sawyer Yards Transport yourself to the North Pole during a hilarious holiday drive-in screening of Elf, which tells the story of a human named Buddy (played by Will Ferrell) that is raised as an elf among Santa’s helpers when Rooftop Cinema Club hosts the film at the Drive-In at Sawyer Yards. $28 per vehicle. 7:15pm.
  • Flash Gordon Parks DJ Set at Brasil Houston | No Cover – Hit the Montrose café mainstay for food, drinks and a lively evening set that ranges from blues and jazz to soul/funk and hip-hop from DJ Flash Gordon Parks on the back patio. 8pm to 10pm.
