Take in a morning or evening sound healing meditations in the echoing chamber of the Cistern at Buffalo Bayou Park on Saturdays and Wednesdays in 2020.

These days, everyone has a lot on their mind and the world doesn’t seem to be slowing down for anyone to catch their breath.

To help Houstonians in search of a little inner peace, the Buffalo Bayou Partnership is opening the doors of the long-dormant, recently-revived Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern for Wednesday evening and Saturday morning sound healing meditations.

In 45-minute sessions, visitors can find their socially-distanced spots and take in the soft sounds of singing bowls and wind chimes echoing around the Cistern to help encourage mindfulness and connectivity.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own cushion or mat, and are required to wear face masks and use hand sanitizer before entering the Cistern. Click here for more information.
