- #BlackLivesMatter – Time for Change! Virtual Exhibition at ArchwayGallery.com | Daily – Browse striking and powerful art in an online art exhibition from multiple member artists from Archway Gallery in Montrose. Free to view.
- The Re-education Project presents 2020 Virtual Summer Program via Google Classroom and Zoom | Thursday and Friday – Through a virtual, interactive, and hands-on curriculum, students in grades 5 to 8 will learn about global black history, entrepreneurship, social justice, social intelligence, and literacy. The program will also feature an African dance and drum class, summer reading book club, and special guest speakers. Registration required. $25 per person. 8am each day.
- HITS Theatre presents Virtual Musical Theater Workshop: Moana JR. via Zoom | Thursday and Friday – In this multiple day workshop, first through fifth grade students will receive dedicated musical theater training in acting, vocal arts, and dance. They’ll explore scenes, songs, and dances from Disney’s musical, Moana JR. $225. 12:30pm to 2pm daily.
- Comedian Arnez J at Houston Improv | Thursday to Saturday – Arnez J hosted BET’s longest-running comedy series Comic View for two seasons joining the ranks of hosts such as D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer and his hilarious new comedy special Racially Motivated is now available on Netflix. Tickets starts $60 for a table for two. 8pm nightly.
- Shrimp Boil Pop-up at Goode Co. Seafood Westpark | Thursday to Saturday – Bring home perfectly spiced shrimp, corn-on-the-cob, new potatoes and Czech sausage in 2-pound or 4-pound packs, your choice of chilled or hot when Goode Co. Seafood hosts a Shrimp Boil Pop-up. Orders should be made in advance. $90 plus tax.
