- Leap Day 2020 Events in Houston − Celebrate Leap Day, a day that only happens every 4 years, with family-friendly events, concerts, and Leap Day parties. Happening every four years, the added day keeps the year synchronized with the astronomical and seasonal years. Times and prices vary by location.
- The Woodlands 5K and 2K Fun Run/Walk at Town Green Park | FREE – Lace up your sneakers for The Woodlands annual 5K and 2K Run Run/Walk in Town Green Park, which benefits Pathfinder Pediatric Homecare. 7:30am to 11am.
- Take Me Out to the Ballgame at Jones Hall – Bring the family to this kid-friendly concert that’s all about baseball. The show features narration of the poem, Casey at the Bat, with musical backing from an orchestra. Kids can partake in a sing-a-long, an instrument petting zoo, and a craft station. Tickets start at $23.50. 10am and 11:30am.
- Art Market & Home Tour at Cross Creek Ranch | FREE – Admire art and architecture at the outdoor Art Market & Home Tour at Cross Creek Ranch. Expect live music, local food trucks, and activities for kids. Make sure to stop by one of their 22 model homes to pick up the newest décor tips. 11am to 3pm.
- Houston Cougars vs. UCONN Huskies at Fertitta Center – Cheer on the University of Houston women’s basketball team when they go up against UCONN leading up to the Final Four. Tickets range from $10 to $15, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 2pm.
- Houston Dynamo vs. LA Galaxy at BBVA Compass Stadium – Cheer on the Dynamo as they play the LA Galaxy in a home game at BBVA Compass Stadium. Tickets start at $24, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale marketplace. 2:30pm.
- Dog Day: Yorkie Day at the Races at Sam Houston Race Park – Sam Houston Race Park hosts Dog Day at the Park featuring Yorkie races and a doggy fashion show. Bring your pup for a fun day at the track and watch the pups strut their stuff in the Winner’s Circle. All breeds are welcome to register for the fashion show. General admission is $8. First post is 6:45pm and the first dog race will be at 7:20pm. Gates open at 5:15pm.
- Opera in the Heights presents Kassandra & The Leader at Lambert Hall – Spend Saturday night at Lambert Hall, where Opera in the Heights presents two world premieres, Kassandra & The Leader, performed as a double-bill for two nights only. Tickets range from $29 to $89; discounts are available for seniors ages 65 and up. 7:30pm.
- An American in Paris at The Grand in Galveston – Get swept up in the romance, adventure, and music of An American in Paris, featuring Gershwin’s soaring music paired with stunning dance numbers, all presented at The Grand in Galveston. Tickets start at $38. 3pm and 8pm.
- Sech in Concert at Smart Financial Centre – Jam out to the music of Panamanian singer SECH, when he brings the “Sueños Tour 2020” to Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land. Tickets start at $45, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale website. 8pm.
- Vijay Iyer Sextet at Wortham Theater Center – Enjoy a live jazz concert by the Vijay Iyer Sextet when Da Camera presents a show by the composer-pianist at Cullen Theater in the Wortham Theater Center. Tickets start at $37.50, but limited discounted tickets start at $18.75. 8pm.
- Reverend Horton Heat in Concert at House of Blues – The Jim Heath and his Texas-based psychobilly trio, Reverend Horton Heat, perform live at House of Blues. Tickets start at $10. 8pm.
- Leap To the ’90s Party at Pacific Yard House – Dance to all of your favorite ’90s jams with DJ X spinning at the Leap to the ’90s party at Downtown Conroe’s restaurant and venue, Pacific Yard House. There will be costume contests as well as special ’90s-inspired drinks and menu. $5. 10pm.
- NGHTMRE, with Crankdat, Wavedash at Stereo Live – Hit the dance floor when EDM producer and DJ NGHTMRE joins Crankdat and Wavedash for a live trap show at Stereo Live. Tickets are $40, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 10pm.

- Art on Wheels at The Water Works – Hop on a bike and cruise around Buffalo Bayou Park while BBP tour guide Andrew Groocock points out various works of art along the waterway. $10. 9am to 10:30am.
- Funky Brunch & Heights Morning Market at Onion Creek Cafe | No Cover – Brunch at Onion Creek Cafe while enjoying live DJ tunes, drink specials, and shopping opportunities at the Heights Morning Market. 10am to 2pm.
- Main Street Theater for Youth presents The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley at MATCH – Treat the kids to a live version of Jeff Brown’s famous book, Flat Stanley, when Main Street Theater for Youth presents The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley at MATCH in Midtown. 12:30pm to 3:30pm.
- We Made This Market at Whole Foods 365 Independence Heights | No Cover – Score one-of-a-kind, locally made goods from the We Made This Market, a pop-up that’s available every month in the parking lot of Whole Foods 365 in Independence Heights. 1pm.
- Houston BrunchFest at Midtown Park – Chow down on all of your favorite brunch bites from local restaurants, plus bottomless mimosas and live entertainment, all available during Houston BrunchFest at Midtown Park. Tickets start at $49. 1pm to 4pm.
- Los Angeles Azules at Smart Financial Centre – Get down to a live concert by Los Ángeles Azules during their “Todos Somos Cumbia U.S. Tour 2020” at Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land.
