- Astral Brewing – This homegrown brewpub got its start in March 2019, rocking a special focus on hoppy ales including hazy Northeast IPAs and clean, crisp West Coast IPAs. Hit the air-conditioned taproom and dog-friendly patio to sip those and play some games, from cornhole and ping pong to board games and indoor shuffleboard. - Brash Brewing Company – With a roster of the most epic beers in town (including some oh-so-tasty IPAs), Brash Brewery’s tasting room is worth a visit. But it’s not just about the beer, the kid and dog-friendly brewery rocks an old school arcade, all-metal jukebox, and a generally chill vibe. - Cottonwood – Right on the cusp of Independence Heights and Garden Oaks, this sprawling patio bar is known to get packed on the weekends (and any nice night, for that matter). The cult-favorite rocks 40+ taps, a full bar, and super chill ambiance thanks to things like string lights, fire pits, corn hole, and picnic benches.
