- Broadway Across America presents The Band’s Visit at the Hobby Center | Daily – Take a seat for the 10-time Tony Award-winning musical, The Band’s Visit, when Broadway Across America heads to the Hobby Center. - 9th Annual Galveston Restaurant Week | Daily – Dine out for a cause at more than thirty of Galveston’s hottest eateries throughout Galveston Restaurant Week, a sixteen-day affair that benefits Access Care of Coastal Texas. Restaurants will feature two- and/or three-course meals at special price points. Reservations recommended for some restaurants. Times, prices, and locations vary.
- Current Temporary and Traveling Exhibitions on Display at Houston Museums | Daily | Some FREE – Discover art, history, science, and fun for kids at Houston’s most popular museums and exhibition venues, including The Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH), Houston Museum of Natural Science (HMNS), The Menil Collection, The Health Museum, Holocaust Museum Houston, Lone Star Flight Museum, National Museum of Funeral History, and more.
- Christina P at Houston Improv | Thursday to Saturday – Crack up at a live set by comedian, writer, TV personality, and podcast host Christina P when she brings her hilarious act to the Improv for three nights. Tickets range from $25 to $50, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. Showtimes vary.
- 2019 Year in Review at Music Box Theater | Friday and Saturday – Laugh and reminisce as the cast of Music Box Theater highlights the most memorable moments of 2019 at their theater in Upper Kirby. Tickets are $31 for general admission; $41 for reserved seating, but limited discounted $16.50 tickets are available for select shows. 7:30pm both nights.
- Lunar New Year Houston 2020 at Viet Hoa Center | Saturday and Sunday | FREE – This two-day outdoor festival and market will feature lion and dragon dances, along with live music, food, and local vendors to ring in the Year of the Rat. All are invited to this celebration of Asian cultures represented in Houston, including Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Cambodian, Filipino and more. 10am to 6pm both days.

- ROCO Connections: Age of Aquarius at Rienzi in River Oaks – Check out ROCO’s reimagining of The Age of Aquarius with music from the 1770s, 1870s, and 1970s at MFAH’s Rienzi in River Oaks. Featured musicians include violinist Min-Jeong Koh, cellist Shino Hayashi, and pianist Mei Rui. Tickets are $45. 6pm.
- Bollywood & Bhangra Dancing Class at Levy Park | FREE – Work your entire body while dancing to the powerful beats of Bollywood music at this free Bhangra dance class in Levy Park. 7pm to 8pm.
- Footloose Movie Screening at Discovery Green | FREE – Enjoy an outdoor screening of Footloose at Discovery Green’s free, weekly event on the lawn. 7pm to 10pm.
- ReelAbilities Film Festival: Preview with Marlee Matlin at Congregation Emanu El – Scope out a preview of the ReelAbilities Film Festival as they partner with Congregation Emanu El to present the author, Academy Award-winning actress, and activist, Marlee Matlin. Tickets start at $10. 7:30pm to 9pm.
- Armin Van Buuren in Concert at Revention Music Center – Get ready to dance at a live show by Dutch DJ Armin Van Buuren at Revention Music Center. Expect to hear some of his top hits, like “Blah Blah Blah,” “Hoe Het Danst,” and “This Is What It Feels Like.” Tickets start at $40, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 8pm.
- And That’s Why We Drink: Here for the Boos Tour at House of Blues – Burst out laughing when the Webby award-winning, comedic true crime podcast, And That’s Why We Drink, brings its “Here for the Boos! - The EaDo Comedy Show at CSz Arena – For this improv show, ComedySportz Houston will draw from the vibe of the East Downtown neighborhood and call on audience members to participate. Full price tickets are $10, but limited, discounted $7 tickets are available. 8pm.

- Women’s Olympic Qualifier: USWNT vs. Panama at BBVA Stadium – Cheer on the two-time defending World Cup Champion US women’s soccer team as they compete against Panama in an Olympic qualifying tournament at BBVA Stadium. Tickets start at $22, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 4:45pm.
- Funfetti Friday at The Ice at Discovery Green – Skate around The Ice at Discovery Green while jamming out to a colorful light show with beats from DJ Mohawk Steve during Funfetti Fridays. General admission is $11 per person; $4 for skate rental. 7pm to 9pm.
- A Barrel Aged Evening at Saint Arnold Brewing Company – Sip barrel-aged beers pulled straight from the source during this special event at Saint Arnold Brewery. They’ll open up their Beer Hall and Investors Pub for the evening, which will also include barrel-aged coffee from Java Pura Coffee Roasters, on-site woodworkers, and a heavy appetizer buffet. Tickets are $65. 7pm to 10pm.
- Eric Johnson in Concert at House of Blues – Jam out at prolific guitarist and Grammy-winning musician, Eric Johnson, who brings his tour to House of Blues. Tickets range from $25 to $59.50, but you may find better or cheaper tickets using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
