- Steven Dayvid McKellar, with Stevie Kin at White Oak Music Hall | Thursday, January 9 – Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Steven Dayvid McKellar also leads the four-piece rock band known as Civil Twilight. This past summer, he released a solo EP of songs titled The Belleville Demos, and will hit the road with an acoustic stop at White Oak’s upstairs stage. Tickets are $12 in advance; $15 day of the show, but you may find better or cheaper tickets using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
- Morgan Heritage at Last Concert Café | Thursday, January 9 – The Brooklyn-based reggae band have notched Grammy wins for their past two albums, 2015’s Strictly Roots and Avrakedabra in 2017. The internationally-touring group stop by the north Downtown haunt known as Last Concert Café following the release of their latest album, Loyalty. Tickets range from $25 to $30. 8pm.
- Gladys Knight & The Pips at Arena Theatre | Thursday, January 9 – One of the greatest singers of all time, the chart-topping, Grammy-winning Gladys Knight arrives in Houston with her backing band to perform classic hits like “Midnight Train to Georgia” and “Love Overboard.” Tickets range from $35 to over $125, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 8:30pm.
- Enuff Z’nuff, with The Blackheart Saints, Tame Fury at Warehouse Live | Friday, January 10 | FREE – For more than thirty years, the glam metal riffs of Enuff Z’Nuff have maintained a dedicated following across the country with popular hits like “Fly High Michelle” and “New Thing”. The group will swing through Houston to play fan favorites and songs from their 2018 release, Diamond Boy. General Admission is free, with VIP pit tickets available for $20 and VIP tables for $200. 7pm.
- Morgan Wallen, with Jon Langston, Ashland Craft at Revention Music Center | Friday, January 10 – After appearing on The Voice in 2014, Morgan Wallen has begun carving out a country career, culminating in his 2018 release, If I Know Me. Tickets range from $35 to over $80, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 8pm.
- Ben Nicky at Stereo Live | Friday, January 10 | FREE – Notching an award for Best Trance Artist in 2018, Ben Nicky has graced stages around the world, including popular EDM festivals like Nature One, Tomorrowland, and A State of Trance. The British DJ and producer lands at the West Houston venue for a hypnotic live show and admission is free with RSVP (as space allows). For $5, ensure your entry with an Express Ticket. 10pm.
- BowiElvis Fest at The Continental Club | Saturday, January 11 – Now in its eleventh year, the annual celebration of David Bowie and Elvis Presley honors both of the legends who happen to share the same birthday. Local bands take to multiple stages to perform the hits, and guests can also enjoy an outdoor party, live burlesque, face painting, games, a costume contest and more. Tickets are $20. 7pm.
- Heavy Stars, with Tee Vee, Miears at Rudyard’s British Pub | Saturday, January 11 – Experience a synth-heavy night at Rudyard’s when Austin-based musician Heavy Stars teams up with Houston’s Tee Vee and Miears for a bill of electronic solo performances at the upstairs stage. Tickets are $8 in advance; $10 at the door. 8pm.
- Doctor P and Cookie Monsta at Stereo Live | Saturday, January 11 – Prepare for the bass drop when a dubstep duo, featuring world-renowned British DJs Doctor P and Cookie Monsta, take the stage at Stereo Live in West Houston. Tickets are $12 with limited spots remaining, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get tickets using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 10pm.
- Black Tusk, with All Hell at Rudyard’s British Pub | Sunday, January 12 – Out of Georgia, this four-piece sludge metal band stop by the Montrose neighborhood pub for an upstairs show following their most recent release in 2018, T.C.B.T. Tickets are $12 in advance; $17 at the door. 8pm.
