  • Scout Aviation Merit Badge at Lone Star Flight Museum Earn your Scout Aviation Merit Badge during a three-hour workshop where you’ll learn the fundamentals of flight, aircraft design, model building, pre-flight inspection, and piloting the flight simulators. $30. 9am to 5pm.
  • Author Holly George-Warren at Brazos Book Club  Hear from author Holly George Warren as she reads from, discusses, and signs copies of her critically-acclaimed biography of rock icon Janis Joplin, Janis. You can purchase a copy of the book for $28.99, and it’s recommended that you purchase through Brazos Bookstore in advance via their website. 6:30pm.
  • Morgan Wallen’s Whiskey Glasses Road Show at Revention Music Center Sing along to a live show by country singer Morgan Wallen, who brings his Whiskey Glasses Road Show to Revention Music Center. Openers include Jon Langston and Ashland Craft. Tickets range from $35 to over $80, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
  • Rainbow on Ice at Discovery Green Head to Discovery Green for Rainbow on Ice, an annual LGBTQ celebration, which this year features all things Houston with a drag performance from Blackberri as Lizzo. Throughout the evening, you can enjoy music by DJ Joe Ross and R&B singer JaeRene, with costumes made by Yahiara Dehill. Skating fees apply. $11 to skate; $4 skate rental. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Monica’s Bidi Bidi Tribute at White Oak Music HallJam out to your favorite Selena hits at a tribute performance by Monica’s Bidi Bidi Tribute at White Oak Music Hall. Tickets are $10 in advance; $12 at the door. 8pm to 10pm.
  • Classic Numbers: Every Friday at Numbers NightclubTravel back to the ’80s with hits from The Smiths, The Cure, Blondie and more every Friday night at the always-eclectic Numbers Nightclub in Montrose. Cover charge at the door. 9pm.
