  • Chanukah Events Around Houston – Celebrate Chanukah with friends, family, and loved ones with a variety of festivals, menorah lightings and more happening around Houston. Prices, times, and locations vary.
  • Home for the Holidays at BARC | No Cover Bring home a new furry friend this holiday season with 50% off of all regular-priced pet adoptions at BARC. Noon to 5pm.
  • 10th Annual Chanukah Extravaganza at Evelyn’s Park Celebrate the season with a latke bar, barbecue, face painting, bounce houses, a menorah lighting and more during the Bellaire Jewish Center’s 10th Annual Chanukah Extravaganza in Evelyn’s Park. Adult tickets cost $12; children’s tickets cost $8. 4:44pm to 6:44pm.
  • All-Night Happy Hour at Riel | No Cover – Dine out at a discounted price when Montrose’s modern American restaurant, Riel, serves up all-night happy hour every Monday. The menu features inspiration from the Texas gulf coast, Chef Lachaine’s Ukrainian heritage and French-Canadian influences. 5pm to 10pm.
  • 4th Annual Festivus at Holler Brewing Co. | No Cover – Shout “serenity now!” at this local brewery’s annual Festivus celebration, which offers the chance to air your grievances, take an awkward family photo in front of a pole, and sip on their Festivus MiracAle throughout the event. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Menorah Lighting at The Galleria | FREE Watch in awe as a 12-foot-high menorah, created by I. Cohen, is lit up in the Galleria for the ninth year in a row. Enjoy music from a children’s choir, dreidels, sufganiyah, and gelt. 6:30pm to 7:15pm.
  • The Office Christmas Trivia at Under the Radar Brewery | No Cover Test your knowledge of The Office at Under the Radar Brewery, who’s hosting a special trivia night with questions solely about the hilarious TV show’s Christmas-themed episodes. While you’re there, enjoy $4 pints and an onsite food truck. Prizes will be awarded for the best team name, winning trivia team, and best costume. 7:30pm to 10pm.

Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, 2019

  • Breakfast with Santa at Downtown AquariumMeet Santa Claus for breakfast under the sea as the Downtown Aquarium presents a Christmas Eve breakfast buffet with plenty of photo opportunities. Tickets cost $21.99; ages 3 to 10 are $13.99. 8:30am to 1pm.
  • Christmas Eve Super Feast at George R. Brown Convention Center | FREE Give back this holiday season by volunteering at, or donating to the Christmas Eve Super Feast at George R. Brown Convention Center. Held annually on Christmas Eve, the Super Feast provides thousands of Houstonians in need with a hot, nutritious meal, plus items like clothing, household products, blankets, flu shots, and more. Times vary.
  • Kids Eat Free at Buff Burger | No Cover Score a free meal for the little ones every Monday and Tuesday at Buff Burger, where, with the purchase of an adult burger or salad (dine-in only), you get a free kids meal. 11am to 10pm.
  • Chanukah Family Mitzvah Project at Aishel House | FREE – Prepare Chanukah treats for Aishel House patients, then enjoy an outdoor menorah lighting and Chanukah refreshments with Chabad of West Houston. 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
  • National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Movie Screening at Alamo Drafthouse La Centerra Quote, sing, and crack up at Griswolds’ chaotic Christmas celebration when Alamo Drafthouse presents the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Movie Party. They’ll come equipped with special props like pine tree air fresheners, yellow glow sticks, and ugly neckties for added fun. Tickets start at $14.07. 7:30pm.
  • Trivia Bowl at Houston Flying Saucer | No Cover – Test your wits against some of Houston’s top trivia teams at Flying Saucer’s Trivia Bowl. There will be two different rounds starting at 7:30pm and 9:30pm.
  • Punk Rock Live Band Karaoke at Rudyard’s British Pub | No Cover Belt out your favorite punk rock tunes while backed by a live band at Rudyard’s British Pub’s twice monthly karaoke night. Music includes songs by Minor Threat, The Clash, Bad Religion, The Interrupters, Face to Face, Operation Ivy and more. 8pm.

  • Bingo Night at Under the Radar Brewery | No Cover Try your luck for a chance to win prizes in the beer garden at Under the Radar Brewery’s Bingo Night. 7pm.
  • A Dog’s Way Home Movie Screening at Discovery Green | FREE Bring the family to a free screening of the heart-warming A Dog’s Way Home at Discovery Green. 7pm.
  • The Last Fiesta 2019 at Belvedere Uptown Park Light up the dance floor to a playlist of Latin hits as Belvedere Uptown Park presents its final Latin Thursday of the year with The Last Fiesta 2019 celebration. No cover before 11pm. Event starts at 10pm.
