Indulge in an afternoon of free family-friendly fun at Sugar Land’s Sweet Jamboree

Spread holiday cheer with arts and crafts, live entertainment, a holiday market, photo ops, and a visit from Santa during the free Sweet Jamboree at Sugar Land Heritage Museum and Visitor Center on Saturday, December 7, 2019.

Unwrap holiday magic at Visit Sugar Land’s one-day family-friendly event, the Sweet Jamboree, where adults and children alike can partake in arts and crafts, shopping, interactive performances, live music, and more.

Held in the Sugar Land Heritage Museum and Visitor Center, the afternoon celebration also features tasty treats and special appearances from seasonal celebrities like Santa Claus and Elf on the Shelf.

Special Events and Activities

Throughout the afternoon, visitors to the Sweet Jamboree can take in a number of the family-friendly events found below.

  • Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra Enjoy an engaging concert by the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra, then get a close-up look at some of their instruments. 2pm.
  • Santa Meet and Greet — Bring your camera and snap a photo with jolly old Saint Nick. 2pm to 5pm.
  • Elves on the Shelf Join in the fun during this interactive performance featuring the popular Elves on the Shelf. 2:30pm, 3:30pm, and 4:30pm. 
  • Sessions Music Sing and dance to your favorite holiday tunes with a handful of musical selections. 3pm.
  • Inspiration Stage presents Disney’s Frozen Jr. — Take a seat for Inspiration Stage’s featured performance, Disney’s Frozen Jr. 4pm. 
  • Crafts & Games Get crafty at a variety of DIY booths, where you can create keepsakes like paper ‘copters, snowflakes, Christmas cards, letters to Santa, and frame ornaments.
  • Sugar Land Skeeters Fun Channel your inner artist at a Sugar Land Skeeters-themed coloring station. 
  • Sweetened History — Travel back in time with crews from George Ranch Historical Park and Fort Bend Museum to learn about thaumatropes and their role in cinematography.
  • Frios Pop Indulge in a tasty fruit cream pop courtesy of Frios Pop.
