Relish in delicious coffee, beer, and board games at Coral Sword in Houston’s East End

Nestled in the heart of the East End on Telephone Road, the colorful, hip Coral Sword comes from the minds of Hunter Pence (formerly of the Houston Astros), Ming Chen (AMC’s Comic Book Men), and David Buehrer from local favorite Greenway Coffee Roasters, who provide the stellar coffee selection.

The one-of-a-kind space also offers a full menu of tea drinks, beer from local breweries, wine, savory snacks like pizza and chicken strips, sweets, and even a bounty of board and role-playing games.

More than a coffee shop, game-aficionados and beginners alike stop in for weekly events like Friday Night Magic (for Magic: The Gathering) and video game tournaments centered on favorites like Super Smash Bros.—which are also broadcast from their in-house streaming booth.

Looking for something else to play? Coral Sword offers a huge selection of classic and popular board games, for play or purchase, to suit each and every game-lover.

And if games just aren’t your thing, stick to their impressive drink menu which includes cane sugar lattes, cortados, cappuccinos, nitro Thai teas, roasted almond tea lattes, matcha lattes, hot chocolate, Topo Chico and more.
