  • Monster Mash 5K & 10K at Karbach Brewery Dress up in your craziest costume to run the Monster Mash 5K, 10K, or Candy Corn Kids K with the crew from Karbach Brewery. Adults 21 and up can celebrate at the finish line with a Karbach beer. Tickets for 10K registration costs $45; 5K registration costs $40; kids K registration costs 20. 7am to 10am.
  • 5th Annual Chalk Walk in Downtown Friendswood | FREE Stroll down the sidewalks of downtown Friendswood and admire the artwork of more than 80 artists during the fifth annual Chalk Walk event. Presented by Art Friends of Downtown Friendswood, the Chalk Walk also features art cars, food trucks, artwork, and art supplies available for purchase. 8am to 2pm.
  • Halloween Classic Car Show at National Museum of Funeral History Scope out more than 150 cars that range from classic to contemporary in the twelfth annual Halloween Classic Car Show at National Museum of Funeral History. The show includes a live DJ, silent auction, local food vendors, and kids activities, as well as cars and hearses decked out in spooky décor. Tickets are $10 for individuals; $15 for couples and families. 10am to 3pm.
  • Halloween in the Hangar at Lone Star Flight Museum Bring the kiddos out to celebrate the spookiest holiday at Lone Star Flight Museum’s Halloween in the Hangar event. Activities will include making an airplane out of candy, trick or treating in the hangar, and complimentary popcorn. Kids under 12 in costume get in free all day. This event is included with general admission to the museum. 10am.
  • Rice Owls vs. Southern Miss at Rice Stadium Cheer for the Rice University football team as they take on Southern Miss on Military Appreciation Day at Rice Stadium. Tickets start at $19, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. Noon.
  • Buffalo Bayou East Master Plan Celebration | FREE – Join Buffalo Bayou Partnership to celebrate the launch of the Buffalo Bayou East Master Plan. Enjoy food trucks, kids activities, beer, and live performances by Annika Chambers, Break Free Hip Hop School + Roberto Rodriguez and Mas Pulpo. Noon to 4pm.
  • 8th Annual Flying Saucer BeerFeast at Sugar Land Town Square | FREE Take your pick from more than 100 craft brew samples, including rare and limited-releases, at the eighth annual Flying Saucer Beer Feast in Sugar Land Town Square. They’ll also have food, entertainment, and plenty of beer gurus on hand. 1pm to 6:30pm.
  • Buzzfest at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Jam out to a full lineup of rock groups, including Godsmack, Bush, and Our Lady Peace, when Houston’s own 94.5 The Buzz hosts its annual musical festival at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands. Halloween costumes are welcome. Tickets start at $22, but you may find better or cheaper tickets using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 3:30pm.
  • Halloweekend Pub Crawl in Midtown Visit Midtown favorites including Dogwood, Front Porch Pub, Capitol Bar, more throughout the evening while watching the rest of the Halloween madness ensue at the annual Halloween Bar Crawl in Midtown. $14.95, but limited discounted $10 tickets are available. 4pm to 8pm.
  • Dia de los Muertos Procession and Celebration at Casa Ramirez FolkArt Gallery | FREE Celebrate ancestors and loved ones with altar displays, a performance and procession led by Danza Azteca Taxcayolotl, and live music at Casa Ramirez FolkArt Gallery’s Dia de los Muertos event. 5pm to 8pm.
  • 13th Annual Montrose Crawl | No Cover Hit up Montrose bars and restaurants while dressed up in a Halloween costume during the thirteenth annual Montrose Crawl. 6pm.
  • Closing Reception: Seeding, Blooming, Renewal at Archway Gallery | FREE – Join Archway Gallery for a closing reception of Seeding, Blooming, Renewal featuring new works by artist, Becky Soria. For the closing reception, the artist herself will be on hand to discuss the work and there will be a poetry reading inspired by the exhibition by Loueva Smith. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Elissa’s 142nd Birthday Party at Texas Seaport Museum All aboard to celebrate the 142nd birthday of the 1877 Elissa at the Texas Seaport Museum in Galveston. Sip on complimentary Saint Arnold’s Elissa IPA beer for the occasion and enjoy onboard access, cake, and more. Tickets are $20. If you share a name with the “Official Tall Ship of Texas”, you can show your ID at the gate and get free admission. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Tyler the Creator in Concert at NRG Arena Jam out to the powerful rhymes of Tyler the Creator when he performs live on the “Golf Wang Tour” at NRG. Tickets start at $39, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 7pm.
  • Comedian Nate Bargatze at House of Blues Bust a gut when the stand-up comedian and actor Nate Bargatze performs live at House of Blues. Known for his special on Comedy Central Presents, Bargatze has also appeared multiple times on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Tickets start at $25. 7pm.
  • TableOne Dinner Series at Royal Sonesta Houston Indulge in an intimate, seven-course meal and wine pairing prepared by Chef Robert Graham as part of the TableOne Dinner Series at Royal Sonesta. This month’s menu features dishes inspired by the great state of Texas. $150.   • Houston Rockets vs. New Orleans Pelicans at Toyota Center Cheer loud for the Rockets when they hit the court to play the Bucks at Toyota Center. Tickets start at $40, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 7pm.
  • Spirits & Skeletons Halloween Party at Houston Museum of Natural Science Break it down on the dance floor among everything from a Stegosaurus to bewitching gems, as the entire museum opens up for HMNS’s Spirits & Skeletons Halloween Party. They’ll have two DJs to set the mood and plenty of food trucks with tasty bites for purchase. Tickets cost $60 for non-members; $30 for members. 8pm to 11pm.
  • Halloween Grosstopia – Slime Off! Grab your goo goggles and prepare to tackle a series of monstrous challenges in the third annual Slime Off competition. But enter if you dare, for the losing team will be doused in 15 gallons of green, slimy goo. Pre-registration is required for the Slime Workshop and the Slime Off and space is limited. Tickets for general admission are $12 for adults and children; $11 for seniors; children under 1 get in free. 11am to 6pm.
  • The Late Show: Bathtub Full of Gin at Prohibition SupperclubYou’re in for a sexy, booze-filled evening when the Moonlight Dolls take the stage for this 1920’s show at Prohibition Supperclub. Tickets start at $20, but limited, discounted $10 tickets are available. 11:30pm.
