Can’t make it to Munich for Oktoberfest this year? Not to worry.

There are plenty of opportunities for you to drink beer, dress up in your dirndl or lederhosen, eat pretzels, and listen to polka music as area restaurants and bars celebrate Oktoberfest in Houston this fall.

  Third Weekend of September

  • Karbachtoberfest 2019 at Karbach Brewery | Saturday, September 21 to Sunday, September 22 | No Cover – Karbach Brewing Co. hosts their 3-weekend Karbachtoberfest filled with stein-hoisting competitions, oompah bands, wiener dog races, and live music, German-inspired food, and of course, beer. Times vary.
  • Oktoberfest! at Last Concert Cafe | Saturday, September 21 – Celebrate Oktoberfest at Last Concert Cafe with tasty new craft beers from local favorites like 8th Wonder, Saint Arnold’s, 11 Below, Under The Radar, and Texas Leaguer. You’ll also find a festival lineup of live music from Manic Focus, Heart Byrne, Josh Pearson, and Voodoo Visionary. Tickets include two beer tokens and are $25 in advance; $30 at the door. 4pm to 11:30pm.

Last Weekend of September 

  • Karbachtoberfest 2019 at Karbach Brewery | Thursday, September 26 to Sunday, September 29 | No Cover – Karbach Brewing Co. hosts their 3-weekend Karbachtoberfest filled with stein-hoisting competitions, oompah bands, wiener dog races, and live music, German-inspired food, and of course, beer. Times vary.
  • Oktoberfest Houston 2019 at The Water Works | Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28 – Put on your Lederhosen and Dirndls and head over to the annual Oktoberfest Houston at The Water Works at Buffalo Bayou Park. This craft beer festival brings a German twist, with polka music, German beers and brats, and the annual Oktoberfest Olympiad, featuring games like stein hoisting, brat tossing, and barrel rolling. Tickets start at $25 for general admission in advance; $100 for VIP, with beer pong and flip cup tournament entry fees available for purchase. Times vary.

First Weekend of October

  • Karbachtoberfest 2019 at Karbach Brewery | Thursday, October 3 to Sunday, October 6 | No Cover – Karbach Brewing Co. hosts their 3-weekend Karbachtoberfest filled with stein-hoisting competitions, oompah bands, wiener dog races, and live music, German-inspired food, and of course, beer. Times vary.
  • King’s Oktoberfest 2019 at Kings Biergarten & Restaurant in Pearland | Friday, October 4 to Sunday, October 6 – King’s annual Oktoberfest celebration returns to Pearland with more live German music, more biers, more brats, and more fun. Festivities include adult carnival games, food, arm wrestling and strongman competitions, and plenty of German biers. This year, they are also giving away 2 all-inclusive trips for two to Oktoberfest 2020 in Munich, Germany. Tickets range from $12 to $30. Noon each day.
  • Classic Oktoberfest Party at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Friday, October 4 – Put on your best dirndl, lederhosen or other Tyrolean duds for Saint Arnold’s Classic Oktoberfest Party in their German-style Beer Hall. Enjoy a special German dinner, beer, live music and more. You could even be crowned King or Queen of Oktoberfest – they’ll have a contest to see who comes outfitted the best. Tickets are $65. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Oktoberfest 2019 at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 | FREE – Saint Arnold’s Brewery invites you to enjoy food, beer, music, games and contests, local artists and makers, special glassware available, and everything else you need to get in the Oktoberfest spirit. 11am both days.

Second Weekend of October

  • 5th Annual Beaumont Oktoberfest at Rogers Park | Saturday, October 12 | FREE – Make your way to Beaumont for their 5th annual family-friendly Oktoberfest featuring authentic polka and live music, food and beverages, children’s activities and more. 3pm.

Third Weekend of October

  • King’s Oktoberfest 2019 at King’s BierHaus – The Heights | Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 20 – King’s annual Oktoberfest celebration returns to The Heights with more live German music, more biers, more brats, and more fun. Festivities include adult carnival games, food, arm wrestling and strongman competitions, and plenty of German biers. This year, they are also giving away 2 all-inclusive trips for two to Oktoberfest 2020 in Munich, Germany. Tickets range from $12 to $30. 11am each day.
