Celebrate Italian culture and heritage at the 41st Houston Italian Festival, taking place at the University of Saint Thomas on Thursday, October 10 through Sunday, October 13, 2019.
Entering its 41st year, the Houston Italian Festival invites all backgrounds and walks of life to enjoy one of the year’s most significant cultural events taking place in the city of Houston.
In a celebration of Italian culture and heritage, Festa Italiana brings the public together for a fun-filled weekend of traditions, food, and live music with a wide range of entertaining activities.
Live Music Performances
Throughout the weekend, the main stage at Houston Italian Festival provides live performances from traditional backgrounds, as well as popular tunes from the city’s admired tribute artists.
This year, Houston Italian Festival welcomes DJ Italia, Fab 5 (The Beatles tribute band), the blues and rock stylings from Shades of Grey, the Tarantellas Italian Folk Dance group, award-winning Elvis tribute artist Vince King, and performances by the University of Houston Moores Opera Center and the University of St. Thomas Music Department.
From the kiddos to the kids at heart, Houston Italian Festival offers a wide range of festival activities that get attendees laughing, learning, and living it up with all things Italian.
This year, guests can take in film screenings and browse the spectacular submissions and winners of the I Madonnari Sidewalk Art Contest.
Elsewhere on the festival grounds, attendees can check out cooking classes for children, wine and craft beer tastings for the adults, Italian language classes, pasta eating contests, grape stomps, and a Bocce ball tournament.
