  • Galveston’s Own Farmers Market at The Bryan Museum | No Cover Shop local produce, prepared foods, and edible farm products at Galveston’s Own Farmers Market, which opens every Thursday afternoon and Sunday morning through Summer 2019. 9am to Noon.
  • Bitches Who Brunch at Prohibition Supperclub & Bar Grab a girlfriend and head to Prohibition for brunch and a cabaret show from the Moonlight Dolls. Tickets start at $15 for the show, with an additional $30 minimum brunch purchase, payable after the show, but discounted premium seatings are available for $15 at select shows. 11am and 1:30pm.
  • 19th Anniversary Pilsner Party at Flying Saucer | No Cover Throw back a cold pint of pilsner while celebrating Flying Saucer’s 19th anniversary in its Downtown location. They’ll offer a selection of new beers and ‘90s karaoke with more than 400 dollars’ worth of prizes for the top performers. 11am to 9pm.
  • Love & Make’s Soap Making Making Workshop in Rice Village Choose from a selection of colors, fragrances, infusions, and molds to create your own soap at this DIY workshop with Love & Make in Rice Village. $50. Noon.
  • HWE Women’s Expo at Hyatt Regency | FREE Network with fellow female entrepreneurs and business owners at the HWE Women’s Expo, a free event offering fellowship and information on disease prevention, nutrition, fitness, stress management, mental health awareness and more. 1pm to 4pm.
  • Gospel Brunch at House of Blues Experience House of Blues’ Gospel Brunch, a brunch that includes local talent performing both traditional and contemporary Gospel songs. Before and during the show, you can treat yourself to an amazing all-you-can-eat buffet featuring breakfast favorites plus tender carving stations, southern specialties and their signature chicken and waffles. $42 per person. 1:30pm.
  • Axelrad Flea Market | No Cover Ride out the weekend with Axelrad’s afternoon flea-market-meets-yard-sale, which showcases art, collectibles, vinyl, second-hand goods, vintage, clothing, and housewares. 2pm to 7pm.
  • Love & Make’s Candle Making Workshop in Rice Village Design and create a personalized wax candle with help from the team at Love & Makes in Rice Village. The BYOB workshop also features handmade goods from local artisans to shop while your candles set. $45. 4pm.
  • Pepe Aguilar in Concert at Toyota CenterNine-time Grammy Award-winner Pepe Aguilar returns to Houston’s Toyota Center, where he’ll saddle up and ride horseback in his family’s traditional mariachi musical and equestrian show. Expect to see bull and trick riders, horses, rope tricks, tech and pyro, and musical performances throughout the show. Tickets start at $60.50, before ticketing fees, but you may also find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats on TicketNetwork’s resale market. 7pm.
