  • Taste of the Town at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Conference Center Sample foods from a variety of restaurants, bakeries, and distributors at the annual Taste of the Town event in The Woodlands. Featuring more than 80 local vendors, the culinary showcase also offers raffles, contests, and live entertainment. Tickets start at $30. 4pm to 9pm.
  • Seeds of Inspiration: The Influence of Dreams on Early 20th Century Vienna at The Jung Center | FREE Join a historical exploration of society’s fascination with dreams during a moving performance by pianist and artistic director of Da Camera, Sarah Rothenberg. Throughout the evening, you’ll examine the ideas of figures like Sigmund Freud, Johannes Brahms, and Gustav Klimt, and discover the various ways in which their disciplines are interconnected. 5:45pm.
  • U.S.-Iran Relations after the Nuclear Deal at Asia Society Center Hear from Johns Hopkins SAIS Dean Vali Nasr, a leading scholar and expert on American foreign policy and Iran, as he delves into the topic of U.S.-Iran relations and what our country’s withdrawal from the agreement will mean for the international community. Tickets start at $10. 5:45pm.
  • METdance presents Informalism in Motion at MFAH | FREE Enjoy an evening of the creative arts as METdance performs a four-part show inspired by MFAH’s exhibition, Contesting Modernity: Informalism in Venezuela, 1955–1975. 6:30pm to 8pm.
  • The Houston Legends Experience at Biggio’s Snag tickets to The Houston Legends Experience and taste Karbach’s limited edition Imperial Porter with Horchata, a unique brew created with a bourbon barrel that was used during a previous partnership between Biggio’s Sports Bar and Yellow Rose Distilling. At the event, you can meet Yellow Rose’s Master Distiller Houston Farris, Karbach Brewmaster Eric Warner, and Head Brewer Chris Juergen, as well as the sports bar’s own Craig Biggio. Tickets are $125. 6:30pm to 9pm.
  • Show Dogs Movie Screening at Discovery Green | FREE – Catch a free screening of Show Dogs, a family-friendly comedy that follows the unlikely pairing of a human detective and his four-legged partner. 7pm to 9pm.
