Less than two weeks away, the dazzling displays from the Wings Over Houston Airshow at Ellington Field will give wide-eyed spectators a chance to witness daring airborne feats and tour through an historic slate of vintage aircraft.
Headlined by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, this airshow is jam-packed with awe-inspiring aircraft arrays, soaring spectacles, and aerobatic aptitude that thrills, chills, and fulfills.
U.S. Navy Blue Angels
The legendary flight squadron features expert demonstration pilots from the United States Navy and Marines, flying six McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornets in breath-taking formations that exhibit intense precision and incomparable skill.
Sometimes flying as close as 36 inches from one another, these pilots thrill millions of spectators each year at events around the country since 1946.

In addition to the Blue Angels demonstrations, a roster of performers help to fill out the flying feats that take place from 10:30am to 4:30pm each day.
From John Klatt’s Screamin’ Sasquatch Team, to the last solo flight of Sean D. Tucker with Team Oracle, there is plenty of airborne acrobatics taking place to stun visitors at Wings Over Houston.
As well as modern aircraft demonstrations, there will also be military planes dating back to World War II taking flight, including some battle reenactments with pyrotechnic displays.
One of the largest displays of civilian and military aircraft in North America, Wings Over Houston features more than 75 planes from modern aviation to vintage warbirds, and special NASA aircraft.
Attendees will also have a chance to meet and talk with pilots and aircrew of various aircraft, decorated war veterans, and special guests. This is your chance to snag an autograph and hear the captivating stories of aviation legends and heroes.
An on-site merchandise market provides attendees the chance to explore unique local businesses, non-profit organizations, and even pose for photos in jet cockpits. A variety of food and novelty vendors will also be available.
