The annual Oktoberfest Houston returns, celebrating a blend of German and Texas culture with ever-flowing beer, German delicacies, and a number of games and contests set to the tunes of irresistible polka.

Bier & Bites

Over 30 beers will be on tap at Oktoberfest Houston, featuring full-flavored German and Import beers alongside local craft selections, including seasonal Oktoberfest releases.

Mouth-watering bratwurst and other German delicacies will be available with local food trucks offering up more delicious bites, including Deutscher Fleischwagen, Popfancy Pops, Spicy Dog, Spicy Bear, Myla’s Italian Ice, The Baker’s Man, The Melt on Wheels, and Doggie Style Hot Dogs.

Keep an eye on the main stage where performers provide the polka and other tunes. Scheduled performers include Auf Gehts, Eurofest, Enzian Buam, DJ Big Reeks, Yodel Blitz, Rathkamp German Folk Dancers, and Bundrick & Sons.

Games & Events

Around the grounds, attendees at Oktoberfest Houston will find opportunities to vie for prizes in games, tournaments, and contests, presented by Houston Sports & Social Club.

Oktoberfest Olympiad Games

This trio of events sends teams of two to compete in a series of games with prizes on the line. This event is free for all attendees and sign-ups are available on-site.

  • Stein Race – Make your way around the course, keeping your beer stein full to the brim.
  • Barrel Roll – Maneuver a keg through a cone-lined obstacle course.
  • The Legendary Brat Toss – Partner up to perform an egg toss, but with a bratwurst twist.

Tournament of Champions Beer Pong & Flip Cup Tournaments

The 7th Annual Tournament of Champions is back and attendees are competing for a grand prize of $200 cash, a Budweiser Brewery Experience Tour and Sampling for up to 15 people, and general admission tickets to Oktoberfest Houston 2019 for each competing team member.

Registration is $60 for a two-person Beer Pong team, and $80 for a four-person Flip Cup team. To compete, participants must sign up in advance by purchasing a registration during ticket ordering.

Fun Zones for Children and Adults

Try your hand at a variety of free games, from cornhole to giant versions of beer pong, connect four, and jenga.

New this year, a children’s fun zone offers a chance to let the kiddos romp around.

Contests

Along with all the fun and games, Oktoberfest Houston is also awarding prizes in contests for the Best Dressed, as well as the Yodeling Contest, Chicken Dance, and Stein Hoisting competitions.
