- Houston Dynamo vs. Sporting Kansas City at BBVA Compass Stadium | Saturday, August 4 – The season is well beyond the halfway point and nearing the playoff stretch. The Dynamo have been dazzling as of late, and look to secure another three points over their regional rival, Sporting Kansas City. The first 5,500 fans through the gates receive Dynamo rally wear. Tickets for this match range from $29 to over $100, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 8pm.
- Houston Dash vs. Utah Royals FC at BBVA Compass Stadium | Sunday, August 5 – Join the Houston Dash for a special Salute to Women Veterans match, where some ticket proceeds will go towards Trauma to Triumph, an organization that seeks to end poverty and homelessness among women with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Ticket packages are available for $19, which includes a ticket to the match as well as a $5 donation. 7:30pm.
- Houston Astros vs. Seattle Mariners at Minute Maid Park | Friday, August 10 – A special 1979-themed night at Minute Maid will see both teams wearing ’70s-era jerseys, themed entertainment, a fireworks show, and a George Springer replica rainbow jersey for the first 10,000 fans through the gates. Tickets range from $20 to $125, but you may be able to find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork resale marketplace. 7:10pm.
- Houston Astros vs. Seattle Mariners at Minute Maid Park | Saturday, August 11 – Following up 1979 Night at the Ballpark, the Astros cap off their Legends Weekend with a Carlos Beltran 2004 Playoff Bobblehead, presented to the first 10,000 fans. A host of Astros legends will also be on hand for a pregame autograph session. Tickets range from $21 to $125, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 6:10pm.
- Houston Texans vs. San Francisco 49ers at NRG Stadium | Saturday, August 18 – The Texans return for their first home preseason game of the new season. The horned hometown team hopes to bounce back from a disappointing year and will get a great opportunity against a San Francisco squad that finished bottom of their division. Tickets range from $15 to over $450, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
- Houston Dynamo vs. FC Dallas at BBVA Compass Stadium | Thursday, August 23 – Another year, another edition of the Texas Derby. The Dynamo look to topple the top of the Western Conference with a win over I-45 rivals, FC Dallas. Tickets are available from $29 to $64 and may approach a sell-out although you might find better, cheaper, or hard-to-find seats on the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 8pm.
- Houston Dash vs. Sky Blue FC at BBVA Compass Stadium | Saturday, August 25 – In May, the Dash left New Jersey with a late 3-2 victory over Sky Blue FC, the team now led by ex-Dash captain and Women’s Footballer of the Year, Carli Lloyd. This match marks the final head-to-head between the teams and the last home game of the season. Tickets range from $19 to $69. 7:30pm.
- Houston Roller Derby 2018 Championship at Revention Music Center | Saturday, August 25 – The grand finale of Houston Roller Derby’s season is upon us as the 2018 Championship event gets rolling late this month. Come see who gets crowned among the field of bruising, brawling, and blisteringly-fast derby teams. Tickets start at $15, with club level seating available at $200. 6pm.
- Houston Texans vs. Dallas Cowboys at NRG Stadium | Thursday, August 30 – America’s team busses down from Dallas for a popular preseason matchup just ahead of the new season. Tickets are likely to sell out, but you can still find remaining tickets from $40 to over $450. You may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
- Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels at Minute Maid Park | Friday, August 31 – Wrap up the month with a trip to Minute Maid as the ‘Stros face their division foes, the Angels. Postgame fireworks to the tunes of current chart-toppers will round out the night. Tickets range from $20 to $125, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7:10pm.
