  • The Curt Miller Magic & Comedy Show 2018 at Moody Gardens | Monday, July 2 to Sunday, July 8 – Magician and illusionist Curt Miller blends magic, music, dance, and clean comedy. Expect to see people levitate and vanish before your eyes in this family-friendly Vegas-style magic show. Tickets are $23; $16 for ages 3 to 12. Times vary per day.
  • July 4th Celebration in Baytown | Tuesday, July 3 and Wednesday, July 4 | FREE – Baytown Parks and Recreation celebrates the 4th of July with 2 days of live entertainment, a parade, a fireworks show, and activities for the whole family at Bicentennial Park. 6pm on Tuesday; 4pm on Wednesday.
  • July 4: An American Tradition at George Ranch Historical Park | Wednesday, July 4 –Bring the whole family to enjoy a fun-filled day celebrating our country’s birthday with some old-fashioned game play. Try your hand at a variety of historic games and take a scavenger hunt through time as you pick up clues across the Park. Cost for the meal is $15 for adults ages 13 and older; $12 for children ages 5 to 12; and $4 for children 4 and under. 9am to 4pm.
  • Fourth of July Snow & Ice Celebration at Memorial City | Wednesday, July 4 | FREE – Stay cool this Independence Day at the Fourth of July Snow & Ice Celebration at Memorial City. Escape the heat by making snowmen, snow angels, and playing in 30,000 lbs of snow. 1pm to 4pm.
  • Freedom Over Texas at Eleanor Tinsley Park | Wednesday, July 4 – The Annual Freedom Over Texas returns to Eleanor Tinsley Park with musical act Chris Young and a firework display to end the night. Tickets are $8. 4pm to 10pm.
  • 179th City of Galveston Celebration Independence Day Parade and Fireworks | Wednesday, July 4 | FREE – Galveston Island celebrates its annual Independence Day with a parade featuring a procession of floats, decorated military vehicles, and performers. After the parade, the island will host a 20-minute fireworks show over the Gulf of Mexico at 9:15pm near 37th Street and Seawall Boulevard. 7:30pm.
  • Evening Chill at Houston Zoo | Friday, July 6 and Saturday, July 7 – Scope out your favorite animals without melting from the summer heat when the Houston Zoo extends its hours for the Evening Chill. Zoo goers can also enjoy live music and family-friendly activities after sundown. Tickets start at $11. 5pm to 8pm each day.
  • Fireworks Fridays at Kemah Boardwalk | Friday, July 6 | FREE – Sit back and enjoy a spectacular fireworks show synchronized to Top 40s Hits on Kemah Boardwalk every Friday this summer. Following the show, visitors can enjoy extended hours for carnival rides, free souvenir cup refills after 9:30pm, and additional discounts on retail. 9:30pm.
  • Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy at Jones Hall | Saturday, July 7 – Immerse yourself in the Houston Symphony’s multimedia experience featuring stirring musical compositions and video snippets from the Japanese video game, Final Fantasy. Tickets start at $35. 7:30pm.
  • Sunday Movie Nights: Moana Movie Screening at Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier | Sunday, July 8 | FREE – Bring the whole family out for outdoor movie screening of Moana at the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. 8pm.
