Memorial Day 2018 Festivities & Events

Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2018

  • Memorial Day Remembrance at George Ranch Historical Park – Enjoy a special Memorial Day Remembrance at the George Ranch Historical Park and discover Memorial Day’s historic roots. There will also be offering a special Memorial Day Lunch. Tickets range from $10 to $15. Cost for the meal is $15 for adults ages 13 and older; $12 for children ages 5 to 12; $4 for children 4 and under. 9am.
  • Memorial Day Ceremony at Houston National Cemetery – Honor fallen war heroes at the Houston National Cemetery, where the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs will host a commemorative ceremony in observance of Memorial Day. 9:30am.
  • Freedom Flow at Sugar Land Town Square | FREE – Join Revolution Studio for a powerful, heart-opening yoga class at Sugar Land Town Square for Memorial Day. 9:30am to 11am.
  • Memorial Day Pool Party at Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center | FREE – The Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston hosts their annual Memorial Day Pool Party with prizes, music, a DJ, games, food and more. 10am to 1pm.
  • Memorial Day Ceremony at Sugar Land Memorial Park | FREE – The City of Sugar Land honors the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces by hosting its 9th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony. The program will include patriotic music, educational and commemorative activities, on-site military exhibits, and a flag ceremony. 10am to 1pm.
  • Heaven on Earth All White Day Party at Capitol Bar – Dress in white from head to toe for free admission to Capitol Bar in Midtown during the Heaven on Earth day party. Free to attend until 5pm wearing all white. Tickets start at $10. 2pm to 10:30pm.
  • Memorial Day in Memorial City | FREE – Pay tribute to our country’s heroes this Memorial Day with a color guard ceremony, live country music, and family-friendly activities in The Square at Memorial City. 3pm to 6pm.
  • Mutha Effen Mondaze: Memorial Day Party at Lincoln Bar | No Cover – Lincoln Bar on Washington Ave hosts a Memorial Day party with multiple DJs, models, hosts, drink specials and more. 4pm.
  • Memorial Day Lantern Lighting at The Boardwalk Towne Lake | FREE – The Boardwalk Towne Lake in Cypress hosts a special Memorial Day Lantern Lighting ceremony. Each resident will be able to write a special message and light their lantern for a moment of appreciation. 7:30pm to 8:30pm.
