  • Freedom Train: A Celebration of Black History at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE Follow the true story of a mother and son who escape from a Texas plantation and journey to freedom through the Underground Railroad in Freedom Train: A Celebration of Black History, presented by Express Children’s Theatre. 11am.
  • Buffalo Bayou In Bloom: Bayou Buddies Spring Event Marvel at panoramic views of Downtown while enjoying light bites, drinks, and live music during Buffalo Bayou in Bloom: Bayou Buddies Spring Event. Benefitting the park and its restoration, the event also offers tours of the historic Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern and a variety of silent auction packages. $40. 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
  • Da Camera Jam at Discovery Green | FREE – Enjoy a free, outdoor concert from a New York-based group of international musicians, Mwenso & the Shakes, as part of Da Camera’s Jam series at Discovery Green. 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
  • 2018 Brew at the Zoo Stroll through animal exhibits while sipping Texas beers at the Houston Zoo’s first-ever Brew at the Zoo. Guests can enjoy live music, trivia, bar-style bites, and special animal presentations, all in support of the zoo’s efforts to save local species. $45. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Jack Johnson in Concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Imagine yourself on a Hawaiian beach while listening to Jack Johnson play his signature laid-back tunes in a concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Tickets start at $25. 7:30pm.
  • Joey Bada$$ in Concert at Warehouse Live Catch a live show from the critically acclaimed hip-hop artist, Joey Bada$$, when he performs a set at Warehouse Live. $25. 8:30pm.
  • Dining Out for Life 2018 Dine out at select spots around town, and a portion of your dinner tab will benefit this annual, nationwide fundraiser supporting those who live with HIV/AIDS. Participating restaurants include B&B Butchers, Niko Nikos, FM Kitchen & Bar, and Lucille’s. Times, locations, and prices vary per restaurant.

  • Paddington Movie Screening at Levy Park | FREE – Unfold a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a free showing of the popular children’s film, Paddington, which follows the adventures of a young English bear. 7:30pm.
  • Discovery Discussions Harvey Heroes presented by Southwest Airlines at Discovery Green | FREE – Hear the brave and emotional stories of Houstonians who stepped up to rescue, assist, feed, clothe and shelter those affected by Hurricane Harvey at Discovery Green’s series, Discovery Discussions. Following the testimonials, Dr. Stephen Klineberg will share Harvey’s impact on Houstonians, as reflected in the 37th Annual Kinder Houston Area Survey. 7pm to 8:30pm.
  • Essential Oil Basics Workshop at Pop Shop America Energy Corridor Create your own, personalized blend of perfume and aromatherapy spray at the Essential Oil Basics Workshop by Pop Shop America Energy Corridor. With relaxing fragrances and good music, This BYOB workshop is the perfect place to unwind from a busy week. $35. 7pm to 9:30pm.
  • Eric Church in Concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion Head to Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion for a performance by critically-acclaimed country singer-songwriter Eric Church. Arrive early to catch the show openers, Steve Earle & The Dukes and The Texas Gentlemen. Tickets start at $22. 7pm.

You’ll enjoy live music by Commercial Art, giveaways, and inspiring speakers throughout the evening. 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
