- Young Patrons Holiday Pop-Up at CAMH – Celebrate the season with CAMH’s Young Patrons at their Tour of Burgundy wine tasting event. Tickets are $8 for Young Patrons and $15 for nonmembers. 6pm to 8pm.
- How I Met Your Mother Trivia at Under the Radar Brewery | No Cover – Suit up and show off your knowledge of the popular sitcom, How I Met Your Mother at Under the Radar Brewery. 7pm to 10pm.
- Harry Potter Trivia Night at Your Pie – Enjoy special butter brew and Hogwarts house-inspired pizzas at Harry Potter Trivia Night at Your Pie. No cover to play; $12.99 for Build-Your-Pizza plus draft beer (usually $5.50 or less) or house wine (cab or chardonnay). 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
- December Cornhole Competitions at Front Porch Pub | No Cover – Front Porch Pub hosts a cornhole tournament every Wednesday featuring giveaways and shots to give away to all participants. 7:30pm.
- Love Street Live at White Oak Music Hall – Karbach Brewing Co.’s Love Street Live, benefitting Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, comes to White Oak Music Hall featuring love music from Grizfolk, Walker Lukens, and The Unlikely Candidates. Tickets are $8 in advance and $15 at the door. 7:30pm.
- Wepa Wednesday at Satellite Bar | No Cover – This monthly Latin dance night, Wepa Wednesday will feature selections by DJ Act Badd and special guest DJ Gio Chamba at Satellite Bar in the East End. 9pm.

- Happy Hour Thursdays at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston | No Cover – Bring your friends to a museum-style happy hour and enjoy the exhibitions, bites from food trucks, and specialty cocktails at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Drinks will be for sale by credit card at the bar. 5pm to 9pm.
- Cultured Cocktails at Bar Boheme | No Cover – Have a drink, network, and socialize as Fresh Arts host their Cultured Cocktails event benefitting the Art Colony Association at Bar Boheme. 5pm to 8pm.
- Buffalo Bayou Holiday Flight at Conservatory – Join Conservatory for a very special Buffalo Bayou Holiday flight that will consist of Gingerbread Stout, Peppermint Gingerbread Stout, Feliz Navidad (Ancho Gingerbread), and Merry Buffing Christmas Spruce Tip IPA. 5pm to 10pm.
- Star Wars Day at Bakfish Brewing Company | No Cover – Bakfish Brewing Company in Pearland hosts a Star Wars-themed evening to celebrate the new movie with beer and food from OffBeat Eatz Food Truck. Costumes are encouraged. 5pm to 8pm.
- Travis Scott at Revention Music Center – Houston rapper and producer Travis Scott takes the stage at Revention Music Center. Tickets start at $128. 7pm.
- Karaoke Night featuring Dj Samurai at Under the Radar Brewery – DJ Samurai plays all of your favorite sing-along songs in the beer garden of Under the Radar Brewery for their Karaoke Night. 7pm to 10pm.
- Nosaj Thing in Concert at The Secret Group – Los Angeles-based record producer, Nosaj Thing hits the stage at The Secret Group. Tickets start at $13. 8pm.
- Brillz at Spire Night Club – The EDM DJ and producer, Brillz spins dance music along with Eliminate and Lil Texas at the Spire Night Club in Downtown. Tickets start at $10. 10pm.

- Night Drive in Concert at The Secret Group – Modern synth-pop band Night Drive performs with openers Hescher at The Secret Group. Tickets start at $10. 7pm.
- MODE: Fashion Art Show at Insomnia Gallery – Celebrate all things fashion when Insomnia Gallery showcases original art by local artists and photographers. There will also be a night market featuring local vendors. $5 suggested donation benefiting Houston’s Children’s Charity. 7pm to 8pm.
- The Secret Group Comedy Showcase at Eureka Heights Brewery | No Cover – Laugh it up at Secret Group Comedy Showcase at Eureka Heights Brewery featuring local stand up comics and hosted by Zahid Dewji and Gabe Bravo. 7pm.
- Silent Disco at Revention Music Center – Grab a pair of wireless headphones, pick between top 40, EDM, or the best of Latin hip-hop and reggae when Silent Disco presents the Silent Night dance party at Revention Music Center. Tickets start at $15. 8pm.
- Wanda Jackson in Concert at The Continental Club – The legendary rockabilly singer and a pioneering rock-and-roll artist, Wanda Jackson, performs at The Continental Club. Tickets are $23.
- Best of 2000 at South Beach Houston – Dance to all the top 40 hits of the early 2000’s and enjoy drink specials at the LGBT-friendly nightclub, South Beach Houston. Cover charge at the door. 9pm.
Saturday, December 9, 2017
- Holiday Brews on the Bayou at Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens – Experience the jazzy sounds of Houston’s own Grain Free Quartet while enjoying beer tastings from 12 breweries including 8th Wonder Brewery, Saint Arnold, Karbach and more. Tickets are $35 per person. 100% of ticket proceeds from this event will go toward helping Bayou Bend after being affected by Hurricane Harvey. 2pm to 6pm.
- Rock Poster Art Show at Sigma Brewing Co. – The Sigma Brewing Co. hosts a Rock Poster Art Show featuring local artists and a Pro Wrestling-themed costume party. 7pm to midnight.
- Lights in the Heights 2017 | FREE – Bask in the Christmas spirt and take in the beautifully decorated homes of the Woodland Heights while enjoying holiday musical performers on front porches. 6pm to 9pm.
- Preservation Hall Jazz Band in Concert at The Heights Theater – The legendary New Orleans staple band, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, takes the stage at The Heights Theater. Tickets are $28. 7pm.
- Numbers Christmas Party at Numbers Nightclub – Dance the night away when Numbers Nightclub hosts their Christmas Party featuring plenty of giveaways of lifetime passes, an Xbox and more. Cover charge at the door. 9pm.
- DJ Tony Moran at Rich’s Houston – The DJ and producer Tony Moran returns to the LGBT nightclub, Rich’s Houston to spin hits from Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey and more. Cover charge is $10. 10pm.
- Star Wars: Unscripted at CSz Arena – Comedy Sportz in Houston is up for a little humor and games when they use your suggestions to tweak the original 1977 film. So make sure to come to the CSz arena with an open mind and plenty of creativity. Tickets are $14, but you may find limited discounted tickets for $8. 10:30pm.

- Holiday Market at Lil’ Danny Speedo’s Go Fly a Kite Lounge | No Cover – Lil’ Danny Speedo’s Go Fly a Kite Lounge in the East End host a Holiday Market filled with local vendors. You can also enjoy $2 beers and $3 wells while you shop. 4pm to 8pm.
- Rockmare Before Christmas at White Oak Music Hall – Watch the many alternative rock bands performing at the Rockmare Before Christmas showcase at White Oak Music Hall. Tickets start at $12. 4pm to 11pm.
- My Name is Chinedu at Joke Joint Comedy Showcase – Watch the hilarious stand-up comedian Chinedu host his show, My Name is Chinedu, along with special guests Ofili and Justin Thompson at the Joke Joint Comedy Showcase. Tickets are $12. There will be a show at 7pm and another at 9pm.
- 3rd Annual Christmas Benefit at A 2nd Cup – Join A 2nd Cup at their 3rd Annual Christmas Benefit, a night filled with stories of hope, food, drinks, and live music, to support survivors in Houston. Tickets range from $30 to $50. 7pm to 9pm.
