Celebrate the season and channel your inner romantic at Main Street Theater’s live performance of Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley from Saturday, November 11, through Saturday, December 23, 2017.

The Rice Village theater brings to life the sequel to Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. The cleverly comedic play reunites many characters from the original, including Fitzwilliam Darcy and his now-wife Elizabeth Darcy.

Set two years after its predecessor’s end, Miss Bennet follows the dutiful, slightly awkward middle sister, Mary, who grows tired of observing her family members’ romantic escapades from the sidelines. While celebrating Christmas at Pemberley, however, an unexpected guest sweeps Mary into an adventure of her own.

Award-winning playwright Lauren Gunderson and co-author Margot Melcon crafted the play, which will soon be published at Dramatists Play Publishing. Claire Hart Palumbo heads the direction, while members of the Houston community make up the show’s cast and crew.
