Returning to Houston for a single 2017 performance, these 25 vocal talents are sure to delight and surprise audiences at this can’t-miss musical showcase.
About The Vienna Boys Choir
For more than half a millennium, talent young male singers from Austria and beyond have performed for exclusive audiences. They’ve only been performing in public, rather than exclusively in Vienna’s imperial court, since… oh, 1918.
Today, the chorus is comprised of 100 choristers from 31 nations, all between the ages of 10 and 14. Divided into four touring choirs, these young men give around 300 concerts and performances each year in front of almost half a million people combined.
Each group spends nine to eleven weeks of the school year on tour. They visit virtually all European countries, and they are frequent guests in Asia, Australia, and the Americas.
These remarkable young men have delighted music-lovers across the globe with their purity of tone, and distinctive charm.
Their diverse repertoire encompasses Austrian folk songs and waltzes, classical masterpieces, medieval chant, and popular music.
