Fanatical Change continues to amp up its annual fundraising shindig and Halloween throwdown. In the process, the group will be raising funds to surprise and help deserving Houston area families in need.
The Big Halloween Party at BBVA Compass Stadium
Costumed attendees will live it up at a Halloween masquerade party at BBVA Compass Stadium in EaDo, home to the Houston Dynamo.
The party will be filled with entertaining costumes, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music, multiple DJs, interactive photo booths, a silent auction filled with unique items, and more.
Attendees are encouraged to dress up like their favorite carnival sideshow performers, larger-than-life persona (real or fictional), or other out of this world characters. However all ticket-holders wearing costumes or snazzy cocktail attire will be welcomed.
Tickets are limited and will likely sell out before the end of the month. If any tickets remain, the price will go up at the door.
VIP & VVIP Tickets
General admission tickets get you into the party, but the two VIP options both come with extras.
- VIP Tickets – These tickets also include two drink tickets, easy access to the VIP bar and seating area, light bites, and a gift from Fanatical Change. $200 (or $120 with promocode 365VIP); $250 at the door.
- VVIP Tickets – These guests get all the VIP perks, plus unlimited drink tickets, a special tour of the Dynamo’s home stadium, and special recognition at the event. $600 (or $360 with promocode 365VIP); $1000 at the door.
Assisting HISD’s Homeless Students After Harvey
The Houston Independent School District (HISD) is the largest school district in Texas and the seventh-largest school district in the United States. Before Hurricane Harvey there were 6,617 homeless students in HISD. After the storm, that number has continued to grow.
These students are living sometimes with no electricity or water; they might be living in shelter, a hotel or motel, or with another family in which families are “doubled-up” due to economic hardship. These students also may be moving from place to place, living in a structure not normally used for housing, or living in a car, park, campsite, camper or even outside.
The HISD Homeless Department has identified these students and continually provides as much assistance as possible throughout the year to ensure these students receive access to an equitable education, despite certain barriers that may exist. In 2016-2017, the HISD Homeless Department suffered a budget cut of over $100,000. With these new financial cuts, these children and families need us now more then ever.
This Thanksgiving, the Fanatical Change Foundation is working with Fiesta to provide meals packs to these homeless children and their families. Every ticket sold for the Halloween Party, and all the money raised from that night will go to feeding Thanksgiving dinner to these students.
Knowing that the majority of these children could be from a family of approximately four, with your help, Fanatical Change hopes to help approximately 26,000 people this Thanksgiving.
Throughout the year, the Fanatical Change Foundation hosts events to raise funds that provide life-changing assistance to families who’ve just suffered a life-altering tragedy.
Because you never know when and who tragedy will strike, recipient families are always selected from the headlines by the foundation’s board in the days before the event. Every dollar that is raised is then given directly to the recipient the following day.
Connecting donors with the people they help, the organization offers its donor an immediate and true glimpse into the impact that their dollars make. The organization was founded in 2009, prompted by the devastation that Hurricane Ike wrought on many Houston families in 2008.
To date, Fanatical Change has raised more than $900,000, which has all gone directly into the pockets of 90 Houston families who were undergoing great hardships.
The organization hopes to pass the $1 million and 100 families mark after this year’s event.
