Take a fall evening Museum District stroll browsing and indulging in crafts, exhibitions, tasty food, and fun at Asia Society Texas Center’s Night Market on Friday, October 13, 2017.

Filled with clothing, jewelry, natural products, handmade gifts, home décor, activities, the museum’s newest exhibition, food trucks and other goodies, Asia Society’s Night Market makes for a perfect autumn evening.

Visitors to the family-friendly evening bazaar can enjoy free admission to Asia Society’s exhibition Wondrous Worlds: Art & Islam Through Time & Place, courtesy of Karat 22 Jewelers.

Food Trucks & More

And for those who work up an appetite shopping, there will be plenty of food and drinks available from vendors like Bowl’d Up, Casian King, Churrasco Food Truck, Foreign Policy Food Truck, Muiishi Makirritos, Nom Mi Street, The Waffle Bus, and Wokker TX Ranger.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy Asian beers and mochi from Asia Society, plus tasty options from Bear’s Tea House & Eatery, Big Creek Farms, Dumpling Haus, Garden Dreams Texas, Gingersnaps Etc, Nothing Bundt Cakes, PopCart Handmade Ice Pops, Popfancy Pops, and TeaCiti.

Wondrous Worlds: Art & Islam Through Time & Place

Featuring more than 100 outstanding works of art, the exhibition showcases the long history, vast geographic expanse, and amazing diversity of works of art in the Islamic world.

Works cover nearly all media, ranging from carpets to dress to jewelry, ceramics, glass, metal, paintings, prints, calligraphy and photographs.

Games & Family Fun

Whether inspired by the exhibitions or just feeling plain crafty, visitors of all ages join in activities including playing games like Chinese checkers and parcheesi, cornhole, giant sudoku, and a ring toss.

Kids can also join in an evening color activity.
