A Move to the East End

For 2017, and following the impact of Harvey, the event is being held at Guadalupe Plaza Park in the East End.

Originally built in the 1980s, Guadalupe Plaza Park reopened after renovations in summer 2016. Although updated with modern features like splash fountains that kids love to play in, the updated design still reflects the Latin heritage of its East End neighborhood and nearby Navigation Boulevard.

About Buffalo Bayou Partnership

Since 1986, Buffalo Bayou Partnership has been pursuing impactful plans for the 10-mile stretch of Buffalo Bayou from Shepherd Drive to the Port of Houston Turning Basin.

From spearheading capital projects such as Buffalo Bayou Park to removing thousands of cubic yards of trash each year, BBP has truly transformed Houston’s historic waterway and continues to do so with new ventures yearly.

Following the flooding of Hurricane Harvey, BBP continues to oversee the park’s management and operation, while continuing to assess and repair damage from the storm.
