- Hurricane Harvey Relief and Recovery Events Around Houston | Daily – Help fellow Houstonians by donating money, clothing and food at various fundraisers and concerts benefiting Hurricane Harvey relief. Times, prices, and locations vary.
- Disgraced at Studio 101 | Daily – Catch the Houston premiere of Disgraced, a drama about a Pakistani-American lawyer that hosts a dinner party and dives into issues about race and religion, performed by 4th Wall Theatre Company at Studio 101. $32; limited comped and discounted $16 tickets available. Thursday to Saturday 7:30pm; Sunday 3pm.
- Houston Restaurant Weeks at Participating Restaurants Around Houston | Thursday to Saturday – Houston Restaurant Weeks has been extended to raise much-needed funds for the Houston Food Bank due to Hurricane Harvey. Dine out for a good cause all month as part of this annual city-wide fundraiser. Restaurants will be offering prix fixe menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner.
- The Great Taproom Challenge at 8th Wonder Brewery | Thursday to Saturday – Sip on craft beer at 8th Wonder Brewery in EaDo and they’ll donate $1 from each beer to Harvey relief. Monday to Saturday 11am to 10pm; Sunday 11am to 6pm.
- Galveston Island Shrimp Festival | Friday and Saturday – Head out to the island for a weekend full of shrimp festivities like a gumbo stroll tasting, a lil’ shrimps parade, live music, and 5k. Tickets start at $10. Friday 7:30pm to 10pm; Saturday noon to 4pm.
- The Groundling at Theatre Southwest | Friday and Saturday – See the story of a man who decides to write a play about his troubled marriage unfold on stage in The Groundling at Theatre Southwest. $19; limited discounted $9.50 tickets available. 8pm both nights.
- Karbachtoberfest at Karbach Brewing Co. | Friday and Saturday – Head to Karbach Brewery for German food, live music, and beer in honor of Oktoberfest. Starts at noon both days.
- Texas Ink & Art Expo in Galveston | Friday to Sunday – Check out live tattooing, tattoo art, contests, and a freak show at this three-day expo for ink lovers in Galveston. Tickets start at $20. Friday noon to 10pm; Saturday 10am to 11pm; Sunday 10am to 1am.

- Uptown Dance Company presents Soul Searching at The MATCH – Opening Uptown Dance Company’s 2017-18 season, the performance Soul Searching features the premiere of two new works by award-winning choreographer Barry Kerollis and artistic director Beth Gulledge-Brown. Tickets are $30 for general admission; $25 for ages 65 and up; $15 for college students with valid ID. 7:30pm.
- Marco Antonio Solis in Concert at Toyota Center – Latin pop singer Marco Antonio Solis will bring his music to Houston on his Y Las Historia Continua Tour with special guests Jesse and Joy.
