  • Prelude Sing-A-Song Family Concert at The Woodlands Children’s Museum | Wednesday, August 23 – Join in a Prelude Family interactive musical experience with a sing-a-long concert at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. Tickets are $6. 11:30am.
  • Nature Story Time at Nature Discovery Center | Wednesday, August 23 | No Cover – Bring the family to enjoy an interactive story time about animals and nature at Nature Discovery Center. This event is free to attend. Call in advance if you have a group of more than 6 children. 4pm to 4:30pm.
  • Back to School Bash at Children’s Museum of Houston | Thursday, August 24 – Put on your dancing shoes and move to the beat of DJ B.R.U.C.E. W.A.I.N.E. during the Back To School Bash Dance Party at Children’s Museum of Houston. Included with general admission. 5pm to 7pm.
  • Circo Avenida at Discovery Green | Friday, August 25 | FREE – Witness acrobats and contortionists perform weekly along the Avenida across from Discovery Green Park. 7pm to 9pm.
  • Swift Night Out at Pershing Middle School | Friday, August 25 | FREE – Join the Nature Discovery Center for their family-friendly Swift Night Out event at Pershing Middle School. Watch chimney swift birds swoop and soar over their roosts and then count them as they enter their chimneys. 7:45pm.
  • Ice Skate USA Hawaiian Theme Night at Memorial City | Friday, August 25 – Dress in your best tiki outfit, and limbo, hula, and skate at this Hawaiian-themed night at Memorial City Mall. Skate rental is free with $10 general admission. 8pm to 10pm.
  • Caturday Morning Cartoons at El Gato Coffeehouse | Saturday, August 26 – Spend a lazy Saturday morning watching cat-themed cartoons from the ’90s at this family-friendly event El Gato Coffeehouse Cat Cafe. Tickets are $10 an hour for kids ages 5 to 17; $12 an hour with a student ID; $14 an hour for adults. 10am to noon.
  • Disney’s Beauty and The Beast Movie Screening at Sugar Land Branch Library | Saturday, August 26 | FREE – Be a guest at the Sugar Land Branch Library and watch Disney’s 2017 live action movie, Beauty and The Beast starring Emma Watson as Belle. 2pm to 4pm.
  • League City Family Fun Day Festival at Hometown Heroes Park | Saturday, August 26 | FREE – Tots N’ Teens Pediatric Dentistry hosts a Family Fun Day with plenty of kids activities, a moon walk, entertainment, food trucks and more at Hometown Heroes Park. 3pm to 7pm.
