  • Toddler Tuesdays at Discovery Green | Tuesday, May 2 | FREE to Attend – Bring your toddler to learn about different themes each week at Discovery Green. Themes will include diversity, Easter, storybook time and more. 10:30am to 12:30pm.
  • Children’s Book Week with author Kaye Henry at The Woodlands Children’s Museum | Tuesday, May 2 – Kaye Henry, author of Willie the Pencil Neck Pooch, will do a reading of her book followed by a meet and greet and book signing at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. Tickets are $6. 10:30am to noon.
  • Children’s Performance: Barber of Seville at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Tuesday, May 2 through Thursday, May 4 | FREE to Attend – The Houston Grand Opera and Opera to Go! present a new bilingual adaptation of Gioachino Rossini’s cherished comedy, Barber of Seville. 11am each day.
  • Mommy Mingle Wednesday at The Children’s Museum | Wednesday, May 3 – Bring your little ones to Tot*Spot, the exclusive exhibit for children 35 months and under, and mingle with other mommies while enjoying complimentary refreshments. Daddies, nannies, and caretakers are welcome, too. $12. 10:30am to 11am.
  • Cinco De Mayo Celebration at The Woodlands Children’s Museum | Friday, May 5 – Enjoy a performance by the Chikawa Conroe Aztec Dancers, storybook theatre time, a special concert with Prelude Sing-A-Long Family singing in Spanish and tacos from La Cocina de Roberto Mexican Restaurant at The Woodlands Children’s Museum. Tickets are $6. 10am to 5pm.
  • Houston Polish Festival at Polish Roman Catholic Church Our Lady of Czestochowa | Friday, May 5 through Sunday, May 7 | FREE to Attend – Celebrate Polish culture with dance performances, traditional food and more at this family-friendly 3-day festival at the Polish Roman Catholic Church Our Lady of Czestochowa. 4pm to 10pm on Friday; 10am to 10pm on Saturday; 10am to 6pm on Sunday.
  • Sing Screening at Discovery Green | Friday, May 5 | FREE to Attend – Bring a blanket and watch the animated film Sing under the Downtown Houston skyline at Discovery Green Park. 7:30pm.
  • Japan Festival at Hermann Park | Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7 | FREE to Attend – Celebrate Japanese culture with live performances, art, and traditional foods as The Japan-America Society of Houston hosts the annual Japan Festival in Hermann Park. All day each day.
  • 6th Annual Star Wars Art Festival at Post HTX | Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7 – May the force be with you at this family-friendly 2-day Star Wars-themed festival with art, vendors, cosplay and food trucks at Post HTX. Tickets are $6 per day, $10 for both day and free for children under 12. Noon to 6pm both days.
