Snag two-for-one tickets with promocode 36CINCO and catch a special Cinco de Mayo edition of the monthly 12,000 Degreez: Comedy, Rap Battle, and Karaoke Triathlon at The Secret Group on Friday, May 5, 2017.

Each month two comedians face-off for three rounds starting with traditional stand-up, followed by laugh-out-loud karaoke, and a third and final freestyle rap battle where the competitors get a chance to roast each other.

Hosted by local comedy kings Mycal Dédé and Zach Dickson, this month’s show will feature a battle between Houston’s own Chase Durousseau and Rich Williams.

But that’s not all. As an audience member, you’ll be voting to help decide the champion in what’s sure to be an unforgettable Cinco de Mayo celebration in the heart of EaDo.

Comedian Andy Huggins is set to open the show and at the end of the show there will be a special performance from Hoja Lopez.

About the Competitors

One of the most sought after comedians in the South, Rich Williams was selected to appear on both Houston Whatever Fest (starring Bobcat Goldwaith, TJ Miller, and Iliza Schlesinger) as well as the Come and Take It Comedy Festival, which starred Norm McDonald, Maria Bamford, and Todd Barry.

No stranger to the spotlight, Chase Durousseau is a seasoned comic who splits his time between Houston and Los Angeles. The self-described Durousseau hilariously claims, “Don’t want to be famous, just the answer to a question on Jeopardy nobody gets.”

Food, Drink Specials & Prizes

Just by attending the show, audience members will have multiple chances to win tickets to upcoming comedy shows, concerts, and even a few to-be-announced special prizes.

Attendees are encouraged to come hungry as the world famous Burn’s BBQ will be selling $10 “all you can fit” plates upstairs. If that weren’t enough already, you’ll find plenty of drink specials all night at the downstairs bar as well.
