Join Houston’s Irish and Irish-at-heart for the free St. Patrick’s Parade happening Downtown on Saturday, March 11, 2017 from noon to 2pm.
With more than 100 entries, Houston’s yearly St. Patrick’s Parade has consistently been one of the largest in the country.
For 2017, the free parade celebrates the theme “Living Green in Seventeen” and there will be plenty of spots along the parade route for fans of all ages. The parade ends in front of Lucky’s Pub in East Downtown, where the after party and parade awards begin.
The parade will take place rain or shine.
Houston St. Patrick’s Parade Route
The parade kicks off on Texas Avenue in front of Minute Maid Park and the Clock Tower, heading northwest to San Jacinto. It will turn right on San Jacinto and travel two block, where it will turn right again on Preston. It will travel southeast four blocks to Crawford and turn left.
After one block, it will turn right onto Congress, continuing to pass alongside Minute Maid Park. After passing the stadium, it will turn right onto Hamilton and proceed down to Texas. It will turn left onto Texas and pass underneath 59 and turn right on St. Emmanuel.
Finally, the parade turns onto Rusk and wraps up at Lucky’s Pub for the after party.
