Join the Greater Houston Partnership for a free screening under the stars celebrating two of Houston’s favorite pastimes, football and freedom, at the Houston No Limits Movie Night at Discovery Green on Friday, November 11, 2016.

On this Veterans Day, the Greater Houston Partnership will tip their hats to local vets and jump into Houston’s fifth season (football season) with a screening of football fan favorite, The Blind Side (PG-13).

The movie is based on the true story of Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) and Sean Tuohy (Tim McGraw) who take in a homeless teenage African-American, Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron).

Bullock won an Oscar for her leading performance in the 2009 film.

During the event, Discovery Green’s own Lake House restaurant will be selling beer, wine, and snacks on site.

Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnics, although no glass containers or outside alcoholic beverages are allowed in the park.

Raffle Giveaways

Raffle items include a Texans jersey signed by Jadeveon Clowney and a custom Football and Freedom painted helmet by local artist Tra Slaughter.

Entertainment

Two Houston Texan Cheerleaders will be onsite to take photos with the public and Houston Super Bowl Host Committee mascot TD will make an appearance.
