Start your day early and a new holiday tradition with your family by participating in the TXU Energy Houston Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24, 2016.
Kick Thanksgiving Day off on the right foot by running or walking in the 25th annual TXU Energy Houston Turkey Trot.

On Your Mark, Get Set, Gobble
As the second largest footrace in Houston, the Houston Turkey Trot has been a family tradition for nearly 25 years and supports Neighborhood Centers– the largest community development organization in Texas.
The 5k race begins at Dillard’s near the Galleria and continues up Post Oak, down San Felipe and back, while the 10k and kids run both travel down Westheimer. Click here for more event and course information.
Options for All Ages & Abilities
Participating runners can compete for the fastest time, or stroll at a slower pace with an untimed registration. Strollers are welcome and there’s a 1k for kids under 13 – and every finisher goes home with a medal.
Want to take it easy on Thanksgiving Day instead? Sign up for sleep-in registration and you’ll be donating to a good cause without having to change out of your pjs during this year’s TXU Energy Houston Turkey Trot.
